Sistech a republié ceci
I am thrilled to announce that I am one of 12 people worldwide selected from over 3,000 applicants to be part of the 2024-25 cohort of the Obama Scholars program in New York City. For the next 9 months, I will be studying part-time at Columbia University and working with the support of the Obama Foundation to develop strategies to scale Sistech across Europe and contribute to more inclusive European societies. This is not a goodbye to Sistech; quite the opposite. I’m taking this opportunity to connect with donors, philanthropists, and impact investors in the US, and to explore how Sistech can grow even stronger in the years to come. The scholarship also provides space to reflect over my leadership journey all while being surrounded by inspiring scholars from around the world who are leading impactful social change. From Imane Berchane, Alex Magu, Danutcha Catriona Singh supporting disadvantaged youth build tech careers; Enrica Duncan, Adi Alani Tuivucilevu, @Chenxi ouyang empowering women & young girls and Jacob Idra & Jibreel Jalloh empower local communities and leaders in the US, I'll have plenty to learn; not to forget my fellow Europeans Stefania Kapronczay & Flavio Proietti Pantosti (but not only Andrés Sáenz Peñas ;) with whom I’ll have plenty of politics & citizenship rights topics to discuss! Although this is an individual scholarship, it’s a collective effort back home. A big shout-out to my colleagues at Sistech, who are taking on new responsibilities starting this September. Special thanks & congratulations to Silvia Gallitto, who will be leading Sistech as Deputy CEO, and to Sara Modena, who will be heading Partnerships & Biz Dev in Europe with a new diverse & skilled team. Sistech has never had more capable & responsible leadership. For the team, the vital work continues as always — Leïla Dossat, Claire BERARD, Spyridoula Spyridon, Kiriaki Dardagani, Bianca Bisarra 白木兰, Liuba Lysenko, Oumou.K Diallo, Valentine Jacob-Xaé, Larissa Amour, Joseph B. I’m excited to see the impact & innovation that will unfold this year. Sistech is made up of a truly empathetic, professional, and competent team. I hope the world sees this even more in the year ahead. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the Sistech board, Jay Corless, Chloé Tuot, Hélène SANCERRES, Safia Tmiri, Marco Muccini, Sahar Habib, Ersilia Vaudo Marwa Aloush, Laura Braune & Inès MASSA. You have been incredibly supportive throughout the application and transition process over the past months with me and the team. It’s an honour to have your trust this team and support the mission of this organisation. I’m looking forward to this exciting chapter of growth, learning, and connection, and I can’t wait to return with new insights, stronger partnerships, and a renewed energy to put at work!
Today we proudly welcome our seventh cohort of Obama Scholars! Made up of 30 leaders at the University of Chicago and Columbia University, these changemakers are from all around the world and will participate in an immersive program in Chicago or New York City, during the 2024-2025 academic year. Throughout their time as Obama Scholars, we’ll also bring the leaders together for weekly learning sessions and in-person convenings, encouraging collaboration and bonds that hopefully last a lifetime as they navigate their leadership journeys. LinkedIn enhances our non-profit’s work in many ways 💡 One example is complimentary Premium accounts for many of the refugee women we support. This tool accelerates their ability to grow a network in an unfamiliar job market and to find tech jobs that match their skills. We are truly grateful for this partnership!
