This week, we're celebrating the exceptional achievements of two of our Stop Hunger Leaders: Camille Thobois Reymond and Luna Mishra. Their dedication to Stop Hunger earned them well-deserved awards at the annual Stop Hunger Event in Paris earlier this year. Camille and Luna have been instrumental in fostering client involvement, engaging volunteers, and expanding our reach in their respective regions. Their incredible efforts have made a significant impact. Today, let’s meet Camille. Camille is a driving force behind Stop Hunger UK and Ireland (UK&I), animating the network of champions and volunteers and defining strategies and priorities. She bridges the gap between Stop Hunger’s activities and associations, facilitating collaboration to empower communities struggling with food insecurity. Thanks to her efforts, Stop Hunger UK&I has been able to deploy campaigns such as the 2023 "Show your heart, Play your part" campaign to help food banks respond to the cost-of-living crisis and triple the number of volunteers. In 2023, the Foundation supported over 1.8 million beneficiaries in the UK&I and donated over half a million pounds to charities fighting food insecurity and its root causes. Thanks to Camille and her team, the Foundation is actively partnering with Sodexo and its network of clients and suppliers to expand its impact. One example: Stop Hunger and AstraZeneca have partnered with COFARM FOUNDATION. For three years, Sodexo and AstraZeneca employees have volunteered, leading to further opportunities such as the purchase of organic products from CoFarm's ecological community gardens; and even to the creation of two new gardens, highlighting its positive impact on local communities and employee engagement. Unlike typical CSR programs, the Foundation operates with a needs-based approach and uses its unique expertise to drive real change. This independent status adds value and transparency, attracting partners from the private and charity sector. Thank you, Camille for everything you are doing! You are a truly remarkable Stop Hunger Changemaker! #stophunger #sdg2 #changemaker #stophungerleader Nathalie Brindeau, Basak C., Mouna FASSI DAOUDI, Bruno Bijaksic, Claire GRAU-VINCHON

🥕🍎 #stophunger #sdg2 #zerohunger #partnership #womenempowerment

Sodexo France will also donate practical and valuable kitchen equipments (chariots, microwaves, cutlery…) to Les Restos du Coeur. Stop Hunger’s partnership with Pluxee and the association better with water, in the Philippines, has been a resounding success. Together, we've provided drinkable water access 💧 to 90 families (390 people) in Cavite and empowered 160 individuals 👨👩👦👦, including 138 women, through leadership, public speaking, project management, and financial literacy training. 📚 These empowered women are now better prepared to integrate leadership positions within their communities and have a lasting impact. We're grateful for the Pluxee employees who prepared the training content and shared their expertise directly with the beneficiaries. This project continues to transform lives in a meaningful way, and we can’t wait to see what further impact we can have together! #SDG6 #SDG2 #empoweringcommunities #womenempowerment Mouna FASSI DAOUDI Basak C. On September 11th, Kamila Kik, Regional Sustainability & Environmental Manager for Sodexo Health and Care UK&I, successfully completed the iconic Eagle's Path hike in the Tatra Mountains. ⛰️ This demanding 29-kilometer trek took her 19 hours, starting at 2:30 in the morning! Despite the challenging terrain, Kamila's determination and resilience led her to conquer the trail and raise funds for Stop Hunger. ❤️ A true inspiration, Kamila's journey was not just about physical endurance – it was a testament to her commitment to making a difference. Her brave endeavor, which included overhearing bears whilst climbing 😮 has already raised over £300 for Stop Hunger. The donation pot remains open until the end of September, so we encourage everyone to contribute to this meaningful cause. https://lnkd.in/dRjX7AsE Kamila's selfless act of combining her love for hiking with a humanitarian mission is a powerful example of how individuals can make a significant impact. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and the positive change she is driving. Sincere thanks Kamila! You rock! 💪 And thanks for keeping us entertained with your regular posts before the climb! We’ve been hooked! #StopHunger #TatraMountains #HikingAdventure #Inspiration

❤️ #stophunger #asi #partnership #womenempowerment #sdg2 Mouna FASSI DAOUDI Nathalie Brindeau

The Solidarity Kitchen project is based in the Compensa district of Manaus, in the heart of Brazil's Amazon region. This Stop Hunger initiative, operated by our partner NGO, Gastromotiva, is located within the Sister Yolanda Setubal Arts Center's solidarity kitchen. The Arts Center provides a safe space for children and teenagers to engage in dance, music, and capoeira classes, as well as enjoy a nourishing meal. The project serves a highly vulnerable population, particularly those from the Warao community fleeing Venezuela. One of the major achievements of this project is to promote the empowerment of women through the "Make and Sell Course," a 66-hour workshop that covers cooking, entrepreneurship, sustainability and combating food waste. This included three impactful lectures delivered by Sodexo volunteer experts: Mônica Lopez Soto led the session on sustainability, Maria Daniele Santos covered marketing strategies and Gustavo Rocha discussed strategic positioning. In total, 16 women and 1 man completed the course, including 6 members of the Warao community. Stop Hunger also invested in the first edition of the Social Gastronomy Fair of the "Make and Sell Course". The 17 participants were able to exhibit and sell their preparations to the community putting entrepreneurship into practice. It was a sales success! In parallel, nearly 20,000 meals were prepared and distributed by Antônia Coelho, the solidarity cook who leads the kitchen production and her team of six assistants from the workshop, thanks to the generous support of Sodexo Brazil and its partner, The Coca-Cola Company Brazil. This project is a testament to the power of community and partnership in creating positive change. 🌟 #stophunger #womenempowerment #volunteering #jointhemovement

In April, David Mulcahy, Sodexo Food Development & Innovation Director in the UK, travelled to the Gambia with a mission to better understand the challenges the local school cooks were facing. This was step one of a collaborative effort between Sodexo chefs, the World Food Programme (WFP) and Stop Hunger to bring extra culinary training and qualifications to the local school cooks. During the week, David visited four schools in the country, meeting children, schoolmasters, Food Management Committees, WFP teams, and cooks. He is now working with a team of chefs and WFP teams, selecting the most useful content for a 3-tier training program to be tested this November in Senegal. This mission was conducted as part of the YEAH! program, bringing experts together to help make a difference to those who need it the most. Thank you David for your commitment! #stophunger #wfp #zerohunger #sdg2 #partnerships #volunteering #jointhemovement #yeahprogram
