🚨 Looking for a talent acquisition manager Upciti is growing rapidly, and as our global footprint expands, so does our team. We're building a hub in the US, and expanding our team in our HQ in Paris with core hires across engineering, sales, operations, customer success, and marketing. Upciti faisait partie de la délégation française d'élus et d'entreprises et nous avons eu l'opportunité de présenter nos solutions et nos réalisations aux villes françaises et québécoises. We have two main objectives at Upciti when it comes to our hardware : ➡Providing highly robust industrial solutions that work in the real world. ➡Push the boundaries of what's possible to ensure privacy. So when we can showcase the early work we are doing on R&D, in partnership with a prestigious lab (ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab) and being awarded "𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫" in a workshop of one of the most important conference on computer vision in the world (CVPR), we definitely take the opportunity. So we are extremely happy to share with you this paper "𝑝ℎ𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑐𝑠 𝑏𝑎𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝐶𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑟𝑎 𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑣𝑎𝑐𝑦 : 𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑛𝑒𝑡𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘 𝐶𝑜-𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑔𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑐𝑢𝑒" co-authored by Marcela Carvalho (with the support of the AI team, Samy AIT BACHIR, Sylvain CHATEAU, Rémi Barbot, Zakaria Kaddache) from Upciti and DUFRAISSE Marius, Pauline Trouvé-Peloux and Frédéric Champagnat from ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab. This research aims to create a whole new way of doing Privacy-by-design in Computer Vision by customizing lenses design to be extremely good at object detection and extremely bad with any algorithm hurting privacy (LPR, facial recognition...) This work will lead to a new way of dealing with Privacy, with lenses built for a specific purpose. Les aires d'autoroute sont des hubs de mobilité importants et en comprendre l'usage tout en offrant toujours plus de services aux usagers devient une nécessité. Highway rest areas are important mobility hubs, and understanding their usage while continually offering more services to users has become a necessity. We are therefore very pleased to share the deployment of the Upciti solution, in partnership with Trafic Technologie Système and Eurovia, at the APRR Volcans d'Auvergne rest area on the A71.

Stavanger først i landet med «smarte gatelys» 💡 Denne måneden monterer Lyse et titalls sensorer på lyktestolper ulike steder i Stavanger. Sensorene skal måle både trafikk og fart, i tillegg til å gi behovsstyrt belysning. Kommer man syklende på sykkelsti i mørket, så vil lyset gå på, og «følge» syklisten. – Lyse driver med infrastruktur, elektrifisering og digitalisering. Med smarte gatelys så tikker man av alle disse boksene på en gang. Gatelys er ikke lenger bare gatelys, sier direktør for Lyses belysningsvirksomhet, Oddbjørn Sørseth. Stavanger kommune er første kommune til å teste ut tjenesten. – Med dette datagrunnlaget kan vi øke trafikksikkerheten for innbyggerne i byen, spesielt langs skoleveier og gatekryss der gående, syklende og kjøretøy møtes. I tillegg er det interessant for kommunen å vite hvor stor effekt ulike mobilitetstiltak har. We are today in Norway ❄ , in the beautiful city of Stavanger (Stavanger kommune). In close collaboration with Lyse, we have successfully deployed the Upciti solution to help the city optimize its services to the residents about mobility, noise environnement and people flow. This project is a bright example on how smart city projects should be conducted. Every major political topic surrounding a software/IoT deployment (Privacy, Transparency) has been carefully thought of since the very beginning. 🔒 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘆 : The city conducted a thoughtfull audit of the privacy of the solution. Going deep in the details and being able to challenge every aspect of it. 🔎 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 : There was a strong will to be fully transparent towards the residents about what is deployed, how it works and why. The comunication around these deployments is now a must-have to ensure its success. This shows that we are now in a new exciting era of highly mature project leaders shaping the future of smart city. We are excited to share that the Upciti Solution has been deployed in the City of Dublin, Ohio USA 🍀   Upciti’s deployment addresses this critical dilemma: How can we improve residents' quality of life, ease daily operations, and enhance efficiency without compromising privacy🔒?   Our solution is designed to : ▶ Ease parking🚗for residents ▶Monitor the impact of policies on traffic🚦, parking duration 🅿 and noise levels🔊 ▶Enable the creation or integration of new services 📲 through open APIs. These are the city’s objectives, and they align perfectly with what we are built to deliver.   We thank everyone at the City of Dublin, Ohio USA who has worked on this project, from project inception to the highly efficient hardware installation.
