🚀 Wrapping Up an Incredible Hackathon Week at VeriQloud! 🚀 It was a blast! The Qlouders all gathered together from July 8 to 11 for our internal tech sprint. This year, we focused on implementing SAKE, a protocol for authenticated key exchange by Gildas Avoine, Sébastien Canard, and Loïc Ferreira. SAKE is the first protocol with Perfect Forward Secrecy using only symmetric keys and is quantum-safe while utilizing standard cryptographic primitives. Our teams worked on implementation, HSM interfacing, use-case development, and theory. Each team achieved outstanding results: - A Rust Crate for SAKE that will be made public soon. - Embedding SoftHSM for easy integration into secure environments using PKCS #11. - Four use-cases developed for IoT, LAN integration of QKD, Qasmat with SAKE and QKD network extension. - An improved distributed storage protocol over QKD networks. 👏 A huge thank you to everyone involved!
