WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Communications – EMEA, who is fluent in French and English, to lead our

communications activities in the EMEA region (+ 13 markets) with the support of the EMEA Communications team, local PR agencies and affiliate teams.

This is a contract position starting mid-September and ending on May 16, 2025.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Paris office.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

• Lead the planning and implementation of Communications strategy as well as Global and local campaigns, across all DECIEM brands with a strong focus on The Ordinary, in the EMEA region
• Responsible for managing a team of five and providing guidance on all projects
• Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with media sources, press, influencers, and content creators
• Contribute to business planning for retail targets, promotional volumes, and launch activities
• Secure coverage for existing DECIEM brands, whilst driving excitement and visibility for new brand launches
• Provide communications guidance on new and ongoing projects
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges
• Effectively represent the communications and brands team in partnership meetings
• Contribute to the creation and writing of press and communications materials
• Research and integrate industry news, and media trends to drive proactive coverage for the company
• Work alongside the global social media team to provide market specific content
• Oversee the Implementation of global and local communications campaigns
  
  

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

• At least 3+ years of people management and /or leadership experience is required.
• Strong understanding of the beauty industry and consumer sentiment with extensive branding knowledge as related to other industries such as fashion, lifestyle etc.
• Strong media relationships and experience orchestrating events
• Solid organization and time management skills, detail oriented and ability to focus and work efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced team environment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills both written and oral, in French and English, and ability to work with all levels of staff and management
