“She wants a family, so she’ll never be able to have a career.” Unfortunately, this is just one of the many biases holding women in science back. Fondation L’Oréal invited Suzanne Faure-Dupuy, tenured researcher at CNRS, and Anna Heymann, project manager in charge of our Girls in Science program, to confront this belief. Together with our partners, we stand with all women—today and every day. #ForWomenInScience #WomenInScience

Today marks International Day of Women and Girls in Science – a moment to celebrate the vital contributions of women in science and the hope the next generation represents! ✨ While women scientists devote their lives to solving the world's greatest challenges, they still represent only one-third of researchers globally, and even fewer hold positions of leadership. For 27 years, the Fondation L’Oréal and UNESCO's For Women in Science program has championed over 4,400 female scientists across 140 countries, celebrating their achievements and fostering a more inclusive scientific community. Let's continue to inspire the next generation of women and girls to thrive in science! Because the world needs science. And science needs women. #WomenInScience #FWIS

This June, I met Constanze Jestaedt-Fischer at the Flingern community center and was introduced to some of the incredible women supported by Diakonie Düsseldorf. It was love at first sight. Their stories, their life positivity, and the vibrant atmosphere inspired me deeply, and we knew we had to do something special together. And last week, "Beauty For A Better Life" was introduced in Germany. The program, by Fondation L'Oréal, provides women facing various social, financial or psychological challenges with high-quality haircare treatments and a moment of well-being. But it goes beyond the surface: The Professional Products Division is connecting women with training and career opportunities in the beauty industry to unlock their full potential. 💄We, at L'Oréal, believe in beauty as a force for good and that it has the power to transform lives. It's about self-esteem, confidence, and the ability to face the world with strength and resilience. Thank you very much to everyone who made this day so special!
