The Nadowli/Kaleo District Education Oversight Committee chaired by the District Chief Executive Hon. Catherine Lankono held the Inaugural Session of the DEOC to discuss the state of basic education service delivery in the District. This event is part of the USAID/Ghana SAGES Systems Strengthening Activity being implemented by CARE International in Ghana in partnership with Community Development Alliance - Ghana n the Upper West Region. Reaching the unreached! The USAID SAGES System Strengthening Activity has triggered renewed interest and commitment among local Chiefs, Community Leaders, Parent Associations (PAs) and School Management Committee (SMCs) to champion performance accountability in basic education service delivery to improve learning outcomes. At Nyivil a small farming community in the Sissala West District in Ghana's Upper West Region, the Chiefs and people openly declared support for the SAGES Systems Strengthening Activity and pledged to take active interest and play an oversight role to ensure quality delivery of basic education service in the localities.

**RFP for Diagnosing the production and textbook supply chain for education to strengthen Ministry of Education ownership.*** The USAID/Ghana SAGES Systems Strengthening Activity has launched a Request for Proposals to conduct an independent assessment of the production and supply chain system within the Ministry of Education (MOE), Ghana Education Service (GES), and National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) for the USAID/Ghana Strengthening Accountability in Ghana’s Education System (SAGES) Systems Strengthening Activity. Qualification and Experience: At a minimum, the consultant/firm should propose two technical team members comprising: 1. Team leader/ quantitative data analyst - with substantial experience in conducting education resource mapping and management research. 2. Supply chain management expert with experience in education resource supply, preferably in Ghana. Application Package and Submission: Applicants are required to submit the following documents: a) Technical proposal b)CVs of key personnel c)Financial proposal Local Consultants or firms are strongly encouraged to apply. Welcome to the USAID/Ghana SAGES Systems Strengthening Activity page.
