We are a privately owned group of shipping companies, founded in 1947 by Antonis I. Angelicoussis. Through our Athens-based affiliates, Maran Tankers, Maran Gas, and Maran Dry, we operate a modern fleet, serving oil, gas, and dry cargo markets, in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sustainable manner. Today, with an operating fleet of 142 vessels with a total DWT of 23m, the Angelicoussis Group is the largest shipping group owned by Greek interests and one of the world’s largest privately-owned fleets. Continuing our rapid expansion, we have 15 vessels currently under construction. OUR PEOPLE We are over 8000 professionals across the globe (onboard and onshore), all connected by a passion for the maritime industry and a strive for excellence. We maintain an excellent balance of experience, qualifications, and leadership both at sea and ashore, and strongly believe in the continuous development of our employees. The establishment and operation of our in-house Training Center DMTC - Delphic Maritime Training Centre - is an example of our commitment to investing in our people. The center provides in-house training to all officers and staff of the group, is approved by class and flag, and is subject to annual audits. We do our best to make the Angelicoussis Group, not only a successful business, but also a safe, healthy, and rewarding workplace.

This weekend, on the 8th of March, we celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the extraordinary achievements of women across the world. This year’s theme by the United Nations, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment”, resonates with us as we empower women and foster a people-focused culture grounded in trust, equality and opportunity for all. At the Angelicoussis Group, we are committed to gender equality and inclusion, and we take immense pride in the outstanding female professionals on our team, both onshore and onboard, who prove their resilience and strength day in and day out. This month we celebrate these women, for their unwavering dedication to excellence and best-in-class service. You are an inspiration to us all. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 #ForAllWomenAndGirls #AngelicoussisGroup #MaranDry #MaranTankers #MaranGas

The #AngelicoussisGroup’s Maran Gas Maritime (MGM) executive team travelled late November to Okpo Shipyard in South Korea to celebrate the naming and delivery of its new dual-fuel LNG carrier, the Maran Gas Kastelorizo. MGM’s Managing Director Despoina Moustaka, EVP and Head of Technical Andreas Spertos, Chief Commercial Officer Spyros Leoussis and LNG Commercial Director Jason Bikos joined executives from #HanwhaOcean and #Eni to christen the outstanding vessel, boasting the latest in eco-friendly ship design. The newbuild ABS classed LNG carrier features the MAN-MEGI propulsion engine, which allows for the lowest gas consumption and negligible level of methane slip among all dual-fuel LNG engines currently on the market. On behalf of our entire Group, we would like to thank Ms. Ilaria Azzimonti, Head of LNG Portfolio at Eni, for christening this great vessel into a long life of safe and successful voyages. #AngelicoussisGroup #MaranGas #HanwhaOcean #Eni #innovation #newbuildings

Angelicoussis Group Director of Energy Transition & Sustainability Stelios Troulis joined Shell Marine President @Melissa Williams and @MSC Executive VP of Maritime Policy and Government Affairs @Budd Darr last week in the latest episode of the Lloyd's List Shipping Podcast to discuss how LNG offers a pragmatic pathway for the shipping industry to decarbonise. Speaking with Lloyd’s List Editor-in-Chief @Richard Meade, Stelios stressed the need for the LNG pathway to be enabled, underlining our commitment to decarbonisation through active investment in technology, research and state-of-the-art dual-fuel vessels. * LNG is available, it works today, and it holds promise for tomorrow through bio-LNG and possibly synthetic LNG. * What we need now is a sound and global regulatory environment that permits chain-of-custody models such as mass balancing and book & claim to incentivise and enable the production and adoption of fuels such as bio-LNG.
