Latsco has been given the opportunity to present how we manage “Context drives behavior” within our organization in Shell’s 2024 Partners in Safety workshop held in Athens on December 20th, 2024. Our COO, Mr. Antonios Georgantzis, presented the Company’s values, principles, and commitments, as those have been identified through the active involvement of our employees. Key initiatives supporting the context aiming to enhance and improve human performance, irrespective of shore or sea personnel, were demonstrated. The importance of diversity between seafarers and university background team members as well as the significance of time spent on board fleet vessels from senior management, have been outlined. Mr. Georgantzis referred to the Safety Culture as a cornerstone of our business. All the efforts towards this direction, the ongoing evaluation, and related results of our safety culture through surveys, were analyzed and presented in a very transparent way. “We continue to work on the solid grounds set by our Principals, and we thank Shell Partners in Safety for this special invitation”, Latsco’ s COO concluded. #latsco #latscoshipping #shellpartnersinsafety

We are proud to have supported HELMEPA - Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association as the National Coordinator for the past 34 years of the International Coastal Cleanup Campaign (ICC). HELMEPA has led national activities and thousands of coastal cleanups in Greece. This global effort, with over 18 million volunteers worldwide, is the largest and most recognized initiative for the prevention of coastal and marine pollution. On Sunday 20th October, members of our Latsco LNG Marine Management team worked alongside the International Propeller Club Port of Piraeus and a total of 140 volunteers, and carried out a beach cleanup at Agios Nikolaos, Anavyssos. A ceremony took place this week to award students who distinguished themselves in the original painting competition entitled "Πειραιάς-ΝΑΤ-Ναυτοσύνη". Our very own Marios Minou, Deputy Crew Manager, participated in the event and represented our company! We are proud to have been a main sponsor for this unique initiative. More than 400 junior high school students of Piraeus participated in the competition, organized by NAT with the assistance of the Directorate of Secondary Education Piraeus and the active participation of various shipping organizations, such as the Hellenic Shipowners' Association, the Panhellenic Maritime Federation and the Association of Passenger Companies Shipping. The artistic committee of the competition was challenged to choose the 20 best projects, among impressive drawings themed from the sea, sailors, the port of Piraeus and the NAT building.
