🚀 Our recent BatteReverse Short Circuit was a huge success! This session was all about the battery passport and the role it’s playing in advancing battery circularity across Europe. As part of the EU #battery regulation, the battery passport is paving the way for greater transparency in the battery value chain. It serves as a digital log, capturing a battery’s production conditions, usage, and essential information to support repair, reuse, and recycling. Our very own Kostas Christidis, Partner and CTO at FrontierInnovations Innovations, joined a fantastic lineup of speakers to share insights and answer pressing questions. Together with experts like Graham Lee from the Global Battery Alliance, Teresa Oberhauser from Circularise, and Tilmann Vahle from Systemiq Ltd., the event provided attendees with a deeper understanding of data management and its impact on battery circularity. New publication! We are excited to announce the release of the Multimodal Traffic Management Cluster Roadmap for 2030 and beyond, a collaborative effort within the Multimodal Traffic Management Cluster, result of a powerful collaboration among seven Horizon Europe projects: FRONTIER EU Project, Orchestra2020, TANGENT Project, DIT4TraM Project, SYNCHROMODE Project, DELPHI_EU project, and ACUMEN Project. This groundbreaking roadmap sets forth a comprehensive strategic vision to transform Europe’s transport networks into multimodal, sustainable, and resilient systems, aligning with EU climate neutrality and resilience goals and preparing the transport sector for future challenges and opportunities. The roadmap focuses on three main inter-related areas: a) Technologies and Services, b) Data, and c) Policies, each of which is critical for achieving a seamless, efficient, and resilient multimodal transport system by 2030 and beyond.   Our very own Babis Magoutas had the honor of co-authoring the roadmap in which the results of FrontierInnovations work in the context of the FRONTIER EU Project with respect to advanced ICT tools assisting next generation MTM, have been highlighted. These include an Autonomous Network and Traffic Management Engine (ANTME), the FRONTIER network and traffic visualisation dashboardenabling multistakeholder common situational awareness and collaboration thought incident detection, response plan selection and monitoring functionalities and the FRONTIER Citynaut mobile app offering a range of services including a journey planner and updates from the network’s response plan generator to enhance urban navigation and act as a demand management tool incorporating travellers in the response plans.   A big thank you to the entire team, CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency and to all our partners for the innovative work that made this possible. 🚀 Exciting times ahead for the EU-funded TREEADS project! Last week, the consortium gathered for the 6th General Assembly in the stunning surroundings of #Chania, Crete. Hosted at the CIHEAM MAICh conference center, the three-day event was a pivotal moment in the project’s journey as we gear up for one of our most crucial semesters, that of pilot field exercises. 🌍 The assembly wrapped up with an inspiring visit to the outskirts of the breathtaking Samaria Gorge, one of eight sites where TREEADS technologies will soon be put to the test. By the end of October, we'll be showcasing a full end-to-end scenario for early #WildfireDetection and rapid response—an exciting milestone for local authorities and #firefighting teams alike. 💡 FrontierInnovations, represented by Angela - Maria Despotopoulou at the assembly, will be at the forefront of this effort, demonstrating our #DataAnalytics-enabled framework. On September 23rd, we had an engaging plenary session, followed by the External Advisory Boardmeeting on September 24th. During the meeting, our very own Babis Magoutas moderated a workshop on Information Exchange via Battery Passports and Labelling, with insightful participation from Kostas Christidis on the panel.   The workshop addressed key aspects of battery reverse logistics, focusing on the #development of the #Battery Passport—a crucial tool to ensure transparency and traceability throughout a battery’s lifecycle. This aligns with the core goals of the BatteReverse project, which aims to make the process of #recycling and repurposing Li-ion batteries more efficient, safe, and standardized.   Some important topics included improving battery diagnostics, developing secure data-sharing mechanisms using blockchain, and creating a collaborative platform to connect stakeholders. 🌍 Exciting Progress in the Plooto Project! 🌱 We’re thrilled to share highlights from our recent Plooto Project meeting in Brindisi on July 10-11, 2024. Our team joined colleagues from across the consortium for two days of reviewing achievements and planning next steps. Key discussion points included: 🔹Advancements in our analytics component and its integration with the main Plooto platform 🔹The new architecture of our analytics component and its contributions to enhancing supply chain systems 🔹Ways our innovative solutions can support manufacturers in becoming more sustainable and making informed decisions 🔹Practical applications demonstrated through use cases from our Greek pilot 🔹The impact of our machine learning models for anomaly detection 🔹Goals and plans for the project’s continued development and expansion We also had the opportunity to visit CETMA Composites, getting a firsthand look at their advanced manufacturing processes and facilities. 🌐 SOTERIA EU Project Update! 🛴 🚲🚦 We are pleased to announce that we have completed a significant milestone in our ongoing commitments to #road_safety , the periodic review of the SOTERIA EU Project with the European Commission, covering the first 18 months of the project. At FrontierInnovations, we are proud of our contributions, including the development of the SOTERIA Safe Mobility #Data_Space, the Safety-Oriented proactivity and #nudge_engine, the SOTERIA #mobile_application and the Data Management Plan of the project. These advancements are crucial in promoting safer travel for all road users.
