Celebrating 30 years of partnership and cooperation with #Greece through the #EEANorwayGrants 👏 👍
The European Economic Area Funding Mechanism, known as EEA and Norway Grants 2014–2021, celebrates 30 years of contribution and action this year. With the support of Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway, the mechanism has been a driving force in reducing social and economic inequalities and strengthening bilateral relationships in 15 European countries, including Greece. In their 30 years of presence, the EEA Grants have significantly contributed to the development of our country's inherent capabilities, supporting projects that cover a wide range of sectors: from environmental protection and renewable energy to the preservation of cultural heritage, social empowerment, and support for vulnerable groups. With total funding in Greece exceeding 310 million euros from 1994 to the present, the EEA Grants have supported initiatives that enhance the resilience of Greek society and promote the values of cooperation and solidarity.
