To coincide with the opening of Kai Tak Sports Park, Kai Tak Sports Initiative (an organisation established to advance and promote physical and mental health for the benefit of the Hong Kong community through sports and fitness related activities), and Kai Tak Sports Park co-organised the “Kai Tak Run 2025”. This was the first charity running event held at the Kai Tak Sports Park area. With a thoughtfully designed route that allowed the runners to take in stunning views of the park while enjoying the race, it was truly a unique and pleasurable experience.   Besides Hip Hing and Vibro, our parent company, CTF Services, and our sister company CTF Life also participated in the run in the 5KM and 3KM corporate race categories. We are thrilled to announce that our Kai Tak Sports Park project team received the Project of the Year - Grand Award at the CICES Awards 2025. The awards were organised by the Committee of Hong Kong Region of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.   This international award recognises our Kai Tak Sports Park’s significant contributions in all aspects of the specialisations of geospatial engineering and project management within civil engineering for the benefit of the public. In particular, but not exclusively, the award recognises our upholding and advancement of the standards of professional competence and practice.   Mr. Lam Chi Man, David, Under Secretary for Development, was the Guest of Honour at the awards presentation ceremony. Kai Tak Sports Park is open! The glittering Grand Opening was held on 1 March. Attended by more than 30,000 spectators, Chief Executive Mr John Lee officiated at the Grand Opening ceremony at Kai Tak Stadium, along with other guests including Mr Zheng Yanxiong, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Chief Secretary Mr Chan Kwok-ki, Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Ms Rosanna Law and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kai Tak Sports Park Limited Mr Henry Cheng. A Chinese drum performance and lion dance preceded a speech delivered by the Chief Executive. The ceremony also featured performances by singers and demonstrations by national athletes.   Big congratulations to Kai Tak Sport Park.
