  • 🚨 𝐈𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐈𝐑𝐃) – 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒/𝟐𝟓 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐱 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 The IRD issues 2024/25 Profits Tax Returns (PTRs) today. Taxpayers are encouraged to participate in voluntary e-filing of their PTRs together with the supporting documents (including financial statements and tax computations), in iXBRL format. To facilitate the preparation of iXBRL data files, the IRD is providing the IRD Taxonomy Package and the IRD iXBRL Data Preparation Tools free of charge, via their website. Major enhancements for this year include accepting the import of financial statements in Microsoft Excel format into the English Tagging Tool, and enriching the selection of currency types. The IRD will launch three interconnected portals, namely Individual Tax Portal, Business Tax Portal (BTP) and Tax Representative Portal (TRP), in July 2025 to provide a wide range of electronic services. The BTP and TRP will be pre-launched for account registration starting from late April 2025.  🔗Useful links: www.ird.gov.hk/e_epf (e-Filing) https://lnkd.in/gFuJPiUY (iXBRL Filing) Inland Revenue Department

That's why the Institute is all about empowering NGOs by boosting their governance and decision-making skills with the expertise of our brilliant CPA members. 🌟📊 As part of the Institute’s initiative, 𝐂𝐏𝐀 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐆𝐎🤝, the Institute partners with the 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐇𝐊𝐂𝐒𝐒) to share best governance practices with NGOs. On 14 March, HKCSS organized an induction training session with the theme of 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. 🧠🌟 With the aim of delivering compact yet potent training, the session was designed to provide participants with practical insights for application within their organizations. Santos Li, an Accountant Ambassador of the Institute, hosted a part of the session to share insights on: - Resource allocation for maximizing impact; and - Fundamental accounting knowledge to drive effective decision-making in NGO boardrooms. The session was participated by about 30 board and committee members, heads, and senior management of different NGOs.
