We are now on the journey to achieve our global goal of economically empowering 10 million disadvantaged young people by 2030 through KPMG’s 10by30 initiatives. At KPMG China, we are ramping up our efforts to contribute to this meaningful cause. In addition to the rebuilding of five KPMG primary schools, we have funded the establishment of smart classrooms in 24 rural schools and conducted virtual education programmes, benefiting tens of thousands of students in rural and remote areas. On October 28, we have added another three new Green IT classrooms in Yunnan to support school digitalisation and help improve students’ digital literacy. In Hong Kong, we focus on underserved local students’ school-to-work transition through mentorship, company visits, business etiquette workshops and professional work simulations to guide youths taking their first steps in the workplace. These activities directly align with KPMG’s values of being “Together” and working “For Better”. Only by committing our time, skills and compassion together can we hope to economically empower 10 million young lives by 2030. By supporting the next generation, we are investing in a more prosperous and sustainable future for all. #10by30 #SocialImpact #CSR

It also gave us the opportunity to go beyond just rhetorics and seminars by tackling the risk in country. It allowed us to translate the risk profiles of traffickers into language banks can adopt to boost their monitoring systems. We are grateful to our partnering banks. We were privileged to be invited by ADM Capital Foundation and it’s partners to conduct a closed door session in Singapore to discuss the adoption used cases with other NGOs, Financial Institutions and government agencies to commemorate Singapore’s recent change in legislation to have illegal wildlife trafficking considered a serious offence under the Organized Crime Act (OCA) as of 30 Aug 2024.
