🌟 Powering a digital future for textiles by merging internal and external innovative forces  🌟 Virtual workflows are set to solve a lot of problems for the traditional textile supply chain, from reducing waste to speeding up product development cycles. Yet, this requires extensive libraries of digital materials, and building them remains quite an effort, often relying on expensive scanners, design expertise, and highly skilled editing with professional software. To address these pain points, qonvolv Ventures, together with Symmpix - our internal startup utilizing a vast array of digital materials in their services - have been working closely with Bandicoot Imaging, one of our portfolio companies offering a unique solution for digital material creation, to accelerate this change.🚀 Recently, we had the pleasure of taking David Monaghan and Jørgen Sevild from the Bandicoot team on a tour of our manufacturing base in Foshan, China. Our deep and fruitful discussions followed the visits to our Digital Product Creation Center, woven fabric mill, and fabric library. As an investor from industry, we add value to the company in multiple ways: we consult on market needs, test new features, and provide constant feedback as users to help perfect the technology. We have even brought in our engineers on robotics to make the solution more cost-efficient for large-volume scanning. 📈 While the team is in Asia, we also took the opportunity to connect them with other industry and investment peers in town who have shown a strong interest in #DigitalTech. On August 15, 2024, we attended the "Fashion Tech Summit: Sustainability as a Competitive Advantage", an event organized by Li & Fung and supported by MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node and HKUST Li & Fung Supply Chain Institute. The event provided an engaging platform for insightful discussions on the ever-evolving intersection of #sustainability and #technology. 🌍 🚀   The insights shared by Dr. Victor Fung, Chairman of Fung Investments, resonated with us.
