I had the pleasure to be invited to represent Shared Value Initiative Hong Kong to speak at Ethical Supply Chain Program's Worker Well-Being Conference yesterday at Dongguan, China about the business strategy of creating shared value by aligning profit and purpose. But after hearing from the factories and the ESCP team, I was pleasantly surprised to see that so many factories are already creating shared value through through their collaboration with ESCP to implement Family Friendly spaces for the workers' children. There is an estimated of 67 million left behind children in China because their parents have to find work in cities and are unable to care for them during the day due to long working hours. Therefore, many parents are forced to make difficult decisions when it comes to choosing to work or going back to take care of their children if the grandparents are unable to. This creates immense pressure and stress on the workers and in turn, impacts the company's bottomline if workers are unable to effective and productive. ESCP's Family Friendly programs create spaces in which workers' children can enjoy a safe and educational space after school and allows the workers to be reunited with their children. As a parent myself, I know that it makes a huge difference to be able to work and also care for my own children at the same time. Thanks again ESCP for inviting me to hear about your impactful work!

Thank you Ethical Supply Chain Program for inviting us to be a part of the Workers Well-Being Conference in China yesterday! It was heartwarming to hear about the impact that the Family Friendly programs have had on the lives of the workers and their children. By participating in these programs, factories also achieve business benefits through increased worker productivity and retention. This is what #creatingsharedvalue is all about! #escp #sharedvalue #svihk #workerwellbeing
🎬 Thats a wrap on our Worker Well-Being Conference for 2024! A huge thank you to everyone who attended. After visiting one of the onsite childcare centres at Golden Cup Printing, developed through ESCP's Family-Friendly Spaces program, we closed out the day with insights from representatives from the Shenzhen Toy Association, Shared Value Initiative Hong Kong and Ethical Supply Chain Program. Thanks to everyone who attended both in-person and online. We will share a recap of today shortly with you all, but please do get in touch for more information.

Corporate team engagement for sustainable impact | Sustainable workplace solutions | Climate Fresk facilitator
"What the hell is he talking about?" Last week, we partnered with the Shared Value Initiative Hong Kong to host a screening of Beyond Zero for the Climate Fresk Hong Kong community at Banyan Workspace, and let me tell you: this is a must-see for every team! 💥 This film isn’t just a story; it’s a powerful call to action that challenges us to rethink our approach to business and the environment. Beyond Zero follows Ray Anderson's leadership and the company Interface on their journey to reduce their environmental impact. The moral is clear: sustainability isn’t just good for the planet, it’s also good for business! This film will spark important conversations within your team about how you can lead the charge in your organisation. It demonstrates how one person can inspire everyone to tackle the challenge of breaking the status quo. 💪 👉 Your team will witness how one leader’s vision transformed an entire company. It’s proof that change is possible. So, be ready to lead differently before screening! 👉 They will learn practical strategies that can be implemented. This isn’t just theory, it’s a roadmap for success. 👉 They will feel inspired and motivated to push boundaries and champion this new mission. I highly recommend hosting a screening of Beyond Zero, whether to kickstart your company's sustainability journey or to support it by showcasing a successful case study. It is possible! #LeadershipForSustainability #BeyondZero #MakeItRight Thank you Virginie Ostrowski and Rachael Ma!
