Čitaj knjigu

In November 2013 I started a FB page/community and blog called "Čitaj Knjigu/Read a book", as reading is one of my favorite hobbies, where I have now over 300.000 active fans/folowers in just one year time. The blog had more than 1.5 million visits in less than one year. 1.000.000 booklovers a week are visiting my site. I have a very good cooperation with all croatian publishers, both local and foreign ones, but also developing the original idea much further! This great fan base was built on the story of book referrals, wonderful photo's of idyllic places to read books, and daily inspirational quotes. At the end of the day, everyone needs inspiration and positivity in this world, and what better way to share this then through books? ADOPT A BOOK My mission is to make books readily available to all. This is how I came up with the segment of Adopt a book on my Facebook page. Since inception, I found new homes for over 300 books with various book lovers – as a book is not alive if it sits gathering dust on the shelf! BOOK FAMILY I am personally extremely proud of the few young talents that I had identified through this project. I had the opportunity to work together with them in their personal and professional development. They are today my 'Book Family': Ismar Krdžalić, Ingrid Divković, Lea Martinuš & Lea Brezar. With the Čitaj Knjigu project, they have all been extremely successful.
