About us
The state-of-the-art Rijeka Gateway container terminal, located on Croatia's North Adriatic coast, will developed in two phases. Phase one is due for completion in 2025. Once completed, the terminal will have a 680m long berth, an annual throughput of 1,055,000 TEU and be able to serve vessels up to 24,000 TEUs. Facilities & Equipment (Figures in brackets show phase 2) The new facility will developed in two phases, with phase 1 expected to become operational in 2025 - Annual capacity: (1,055,000 TEU) - Max vessel size: 24,000 TEU - Berth length: 400m (680m) - Ship-to-Shore Cranes: 3 (4) largest currently available Connectivity The terminal will have an efficient and reliable rail connection with the hinterland, linking Rijeka not only with the rest of Croatia, but also the wider Central Europe region. In addition to superior nautical capabilities, this will help make Rijeka Gateway uniquely positioned to become a gateway for the wider region. Economy Rijeka Gateway and the modernisation of the railway infrastructure is Croatia’s largest national project. It will facilitate business opportunities and fast economic growth not only in logistics, but in all services and all industries. The terminal is projected to employ significant number of staff directly, in addition to other positions created indirectly in connection with terminal operations. Joint Venture APM Terminals and ENNA form a strong partnership with proven track record in terminal and intermodal operations. The Energia Naturalis group is one of the fastest growing companies in Croatia and the region. Owning port, railway and storage facilities, the Group has positioned itself as a uniquely comprehensive and integrated logistic operator in the region.

Ministar regionalnog razvoja i fondova Europske unije Šime Erlić, ovom je prilikom predstavio novi program Ministarstva kojim se iz EU fondova izdvaja čak 500 milijuna eura za tri regije – panonsku, jadransku i sjevernu Hrvatsku. U okviru dijaloga “Izazovi i perspektive industrijske tranzicije”, moderiranog od strane prof. dr. sc.
