Xylon is an electronic company focused on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design development. It was established in 1995 and is based in Zagreb, Croatia. Xylon offers a comprehensive IP cores library named logicBRICKS, and it is optimized for Xilinx FPGA architectures. Xylon’s expertise in the fields of embedded graphics, video, image processing and networking is confirmed by a large number of successful FPGA designs, which are produced by our partners and distributed worldwide. All of Xylon’s IP cores are exhaustively tested to ensure that they can be easily implemented and integrated in the customers’ designs. Xylon is a Xilinx Premier Alliance Partner.     At Xylon, we are proud to have once again contributed to the development of innovative solutions for the automotive industry. This time, we teamed up with S2C, Arm, and ZC Technology, enabling parts of a hybrid prototyping solution for automotive microcontroller units (MCUs)—one of the most critical components of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) driving the evolution of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). Xylon contributed to the project by providing a high-speed bus interface IP, modified for seamless integration with automotive MCUs. Additionally, Xylon developed an FMC add-on board allowing a direct connection between S2C’s Prodigy Prototyping system for next-generation Arm Cortex-R52 MCUs and existing automotive MCUs with standard automotive peripherals. This powerful prototyping platform paves the way for faster, more efficient SDV development, helping engineers reduce risks and accelerate innovation.     Positive Vibes from Tokyo! The second day of the impressive Automotive World 2025 exhibition in Tokyo has wrapped up. Here in Tokyo, XYLON is showcasing an embedded AI automotive demo system at AMD's booth, where visitors can experience several super-advanced automotive infotainment and ADAS systems firsthand. As AMD is a leading company providing edge technology, the booth has been packed with curious visitors throughout the day. Of course, the Xylon demo is getting lots of attention too! While discussing block diagrams and using well-known names for various chip architecture and other electronic parts can convey a lot of information between experts in the field, I must admit that Marko Vidović and I have somewhat limited abilities when it comes to description of low-level technical details (often Lost in Translation 😄 😄). Thankfully, our irreplaceable colleagues are here to bridge the gap – our gratitude goes to Mr. Katsumi Yajima, a Japanese expert from our partner company OKI IDS, and, of course, the entire AMD team from Japan. #xylon #amd #automotive #ai #automotiveworld

    Artificial intelligence systems in transportation must respond in real-time. For example, an automatic braking system that reacts after a collision is clearly not an ideal engineering solution. At the recently concluded CES, nearly all of XYLON demo systems focused on implementing real-time AI solutions on advanced AMD Versal Adaptive SoCs. The heterogeneous architecture of AMD Versal chips enabled us to handle complex video processing and prepare inputs and outputs for deep neural networks (DNNs) through AI pre- and post-data processing, all accelerated in programmable logic hardware. This approach ensures not only that input and output data are optimized for the AI processor but also that the hard-coded AI processors (AI engines) and multi-core ARM processing systems deliver maximum performance—without losing even a single operation (TOPS/1,000,000,000,000) to AI data formatting and with a guaranteed latency from the camera sensor to the system's output. #xylon #amd #versal #soc #fpga #ces2025

    CES25 - Surround View AI, OMS/DMS As the world looks to combine sensor technologies to create domain controller topologies its important to have a broad ecosystem of ADAS feature providers... Once gain we have worked closely with XYLON to bring some of these technologies to our silicon platforms, integrate software and created demonstration systems to show how these could be integrated into a vehicle platform. Its day 4 here at CES25, but there is still time to come talk to the team and see quite whats possible.
