Maria Gulraize Khan has 20 years’ experience in Culture and Education sectors which includes policy development, strategic planning, and capacity development. She has conducted trainings on ICH safeguarding for government stakeholders and young cultural leaders from across Pakistan. At the community level she has facilitated ICH inventorying with the Hazara community. She was a project officer (Culture) at UNESCO, Pakistan on an interfaith sustainable tourism project in Punjab. She has also participated in various UNESCO expert meetings on Living Heritage and Education within the framework of the 2003 Convention. Maria has a Masters in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development (Italy) and a Masters in Media Studies (Pakistan).
