Ms Nhlekisana is a Professor at the University of Botswana. She holds a PhD in Folklore from Indiana University Bloomington, USA. and a Master of Arts in African Languages and Literature from University of Wisconsin- Madison, USA. She is a very passionate culture expert who has not only studied folklore but has also taught it at tertiary level for over twenty-five (25) years. She also conducts research and supervises graduate students writing on topics related to culture, intangible cultural heritage, folklore etc. She was appointed a member of the National ICH in 2010 and a member of the National Task Team for Reports on the Safeguarding of ICH in 2020.
