Tentang kami

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has been working in Indonesia since 1975. The country office is in the capital Jakarta. Indonesia has been classed as a middle-income country since 2007. The country is a member of G20 – the Group of Twenty of the world’s major industrial and emerging economies – and plays a significant role in the region. Jakarta hosts the Secretariat of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Indonesia is therefore one of the global development partners of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). These are emerging economies that play a crucial role in achieving international development goals. GIZ is working in Indonesia on behalf of BMZ. Other parties that commission GIZ to carry out projects include the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the German Federal Foreign Office and the European Union. German-Indonesian cooperation focuses on three priority areas: - Energy - Environmental protection - Technical and vocational education and training (TVET)/economic development It also covers the cross-cutting issues of good governance and cooperation with the private sector. Indonesia plays a key role in the context of BMU’s international cooperation because of its importance for climate change mitigation and biodiversity conservation. GIZ’s office in Jakarta is also responsible for regional projects implemented in conjunction with the ASEAN Secretariat. The regional cooperation between Germany and ASEAN that GIZ supports concentrates in the areas of Environment & Climate Change, Regional Economic Integration and Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Development.

We are excited to be supporting the Indonesian-German project on "Strengthening Capacities for Policy Planning for the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Indonesia and in the Global South Phase II (SDGs SSTC Phase II)"! Running from June 2024 to May 2027, this phase builds upon the success of SDGs-SSTC Phase I and is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project focuses on mainstreaming the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a particular emphasis on gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) in Indonesia. To effectively reach the goals, within the SDGs SSTC Phase II Project, GIZ Indonesia hosted a Capacity Building on GEDSI Workshop in collaboration with a women with disabilities-led organisation, Organisasi Harapan Nusantara (OHANA). Among the participants were representatives from National Coordination Team of South-South Cooperation (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Republic of Indonesia, Ministry of Finance, Republic of Indonesia, and Kementerian Sekretariat Negara RI/Ministry of State Secretariat), SDGs National Secretariat (Bappenas) and Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection / Kementerian Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak RI. From this workshop, the participants explored strategies to deepen their understanding of GEDSI and its integration within multi-stakeholder partnerships. #GEDSI #genderequality #socialinclusion #GIZindonesia #SDGslocalization More about OHANA: https://lnkd.in/gAgySZBH Photos : GIZ
