Tentang kami

In its early beginnings, Indesso distilled and exported essential oils. “Indesso” is an abbreviation of Indonesian Essential Oils. In 1992, Indesso started producing clove oil derivatives, Eugenol being the first derivative product. Continuing expansion, we successfully produced other clove oil derivatives like Isoeugenol, Isoeugenyl acetate, Methyl eugenol, Methyl isoeugenol, Caryophyllene acetate, Vanillin. Within the next few years, Indesso was able to offer a variety of essential oils including patchouli, nutmeg, and citronella oil. More essential oil derivatives such as rhodinol and geraniol (from Citronella oil) were developed soon thereafter. Having a naturally-derived orientation of principles, Indesso also develops botanical extracts such as cocoa, coffee, tea, and vanilla extracts, spice oils & oleoresins, cheese powders, and Culinaroma seasonings and savory ingredients. Entering 2020, through PT Indesso Culinaroma Internasional, Indesso ventured into the foodservice sector. Through extensive product portfolios and dedicated teams of experts in Research & Development, Innovation & Application, and Quality Assurance, we provide each client with innovative solutions to anticipate the fast-changing market trends. For the Indonesian market, Indesso also partnered with several world-leading companies to develop and offer a more complete selection of products for clients. The partnership covers the distribution rights of Firmenich flavor and fragrance, Nexira hydrocolloid, PureCircle natural sweeteners, Christian Hansen natural colors, Ballantyne cheese powders, Martin Bauer natural extracts, Dohler juices and purees, Tastecraft syrups, and Biospringer yeast extracts. With the vast selection of products, Indesso can bring total solutions for its customers, which differentiates Indesso from other companies.

Mental health issues can affect anyone, as our mental well-being fluctuates throughout life due to factors such as work stress, relationships, financial concerns, trauma, and illness. We asked some of our employees how they cope with stress and maintain their mental health. Everyone has their own unique way of handling stress—practicing breathing exercises, listening to music, watching, or finding time to connect with loved ones. While each person’s approach is different, maybe their stories can give you some ideas on managing stress in your own life. In a world where workplace pressures are ever-present, remember the importance of mental health awareness, especially at work. By prioritizing mental well-being, we create spaces where everyone can thrive, feel supported, and contribute their best—not only for themselves, but also for society. Happy World Mental Health Day! #lifeatindesso

Located in the coffee bean belt, Indonesia is home to some of the most distinctive single origin coffees in the world. The vast Indonesia’s geography, culture, climate conditions and farming methods of where the coffee plant is grown, has create many unique flavor profiles beloved by many coffee enthusiast around the world. Coffee itself is a complex harmony of taste, body, and aroma. Green coffee beans contain precursor compounds in which during the roasting process, chemical changes occur and lead to the formation of important flavor compounds. These precursor compounds in the green coffee beans are influenced greatly by the conditions of where the coffee plant is grown. Single origin coffee comes from a specific growing region, which affects the flavors and characteristics of the coffee. At Indesso, we create single origin coffee extracts by carefully selecting the best coffee beans from each region and partner with our expert coffee roasters to provide roasted single origin coffee beans. Freshly roasted coffee beans are the key ingredient for our carefully crafted Indesso Signature Single Origin Coffee Extract products. We offer Mandheling, Bali, Flores, and Papua single origin coffee extracts in which each retains the uniqueness, complexity, and rich heritage of its origin. Each coffee extract can give a signature touch to your flavor creation, an irreplaceable essence coming from Indonesian heritage and years with Indesso technology. Pandan: The Vanilla of Southeast Asia It is hardly an understatement to declare Pandan as the "Vanilla of Southeast Asia." Used extensively in many desserts, beverages, and cuisines of Southeast Asian, pandan gives a unique sweet, aromatic, appeal to the flavor of the dishes. Pandan (Pandanus amaryllifolius) is an herbaceous tropical plant that grows in clusters extensively in Indonesia. It is relatively easy to grow, thriving in warm, humid climates with plenty of sunlight. The distinctive flavor of pandan comes from the leaf part that is rich in 2-acetyl-pyrroline (2AP) and a natural source of acetyl pyrazine giving a unique characteristic scent similar to jasmine rice and freshly baked bread. The presence of 2AP in pandan leaves is due to the plant’s metabolic processes, which produce this compound as a byproduct. 2AP is also found in basmati and jasmine rice, and formed during the Maillard reaction of freshly baked bread. However, in pandan leaves, 2AP is naturally present without the need for cooking. At Indesso, we extract Pandan aroma/essence by distillation of fresh pandan leaves followed by gentle concentration, resulting in rich, exquisite, fresh pandan aroma. It is perfect to be used in flavourings such as coconut, vanilla, pandan, cereal, and jasmine, giving depth and complexity, suitable for dairy, dessert, baked goods, and beverages. In perfumery it can enhance gourmand or tropical themed fragrances. Pandan - the signature aroma and scent of Southeast Asia.
