𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 1: Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship, they conducted a Status Quo and Ecosystem Analysis, hosted an Internal Workshop in February 2025 with lecturers and researchers, and gained valuable insights from Andrew Petter during a Mentoring Session in January 2025. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 2: Establishing a StartUp Center, they brainstormed activities for the StartUp Center, initiated a benchmark analysis, and formed an Academic Venture Alliance. Discussions have also started on internal frameworks for academic spin-offs. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 3: Stakeholder Relation Strategy, they implemented a new customer relationship management tool, published first guidelines, and are currently recruiting a CRM Manager to enhance strategic stakeholder relations. They are also improving data quality and defining stakeholder criteria. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 4: Knowledge Transfer Strategy, they held a Kick-Off Workshop with the knowledge transfer team last September and organised a Science Outreach Workshop with faculty representatives on 13 November 2024. The first day of the partner meeting concluded with an inspiring storytelling workshop led by Samantha Carty from Momentum Educate + Innovate, introducing a fresh approach to capturing institutional journeys. The session focused on how higher education institutions can craft compelling narratives about their evolution, moving beyond traditional communication strategies. Using frameworks like Freytag’s Pyramid and Simon Sinek’s Golden Circle, participants explored how to authentically articulate institutional transformations. The workshop emphasised structuring stories around key elements: identifying changes, understanding stakeholder impacts, highlighting progress, and defining future trajectories. A key outcome will be the creation of nine short videos showcasing the reach of acceleration services across European universities. These videos aim to highlight themes like entrepreneurship, digital transformation, regional impact, and leadership, bringing institutional journeys to life. In the second coaching session with Joe Steensma, Universidad Europea de Canarias’ analysed entrepreneurship integration across its three schools — Architecture, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences — highlighting shared priorities, challenges, and recommendations. All schools highlighted project-based learning and interdisciplinary collaboration but faced obstacles like limited faculty training, lack of incubation infrastructure, and weak commercialisation support. While each school has a unique focus (urban regeneration, healthcare innovation, and digital transformation), they share a need for faculty incentives, better infrastructure, and stronger community engagement. Recommended actions include launching a university-wide incubator, establishing a coordinator or person responsible for coordinating all the entrepreneurial activities happening on each campus and developing relationships across the schools, expanding maker spaces, and working on more interdisciplinary challenge-based projects. #highereducation #entrepreneurship #innovation #development #AccelerateFutureHEI
