In 2024, we once again delivered on our value proposition to be the trusted partner for protecting and growing our customers’ most valuable assets. And while our performance was nothing short of exceptional - we achieved record financial results and strong growth across our segments – it’s even more important to me that over the last decade, we have been consistently executing our strategy and consistently delivering results for our customers and shareholders, regardless of what the external environment looks like. Last year we witnessed a significant number of geopolitical and economic developments, with elections in over 70 countries and a global economic environment challenged by sluggish growth, particularly in Europe. We also experienced above-average levels of natural catastrophes, continued armed conflicts, and further polarization which has continued to add to considerable volatility. These conditions elevate the need for what Allianz works to bring to our customers and the world: a more secure future. Looking ahead, our three-year plan is centered on driving smart growth, reinforcing productivity, and strengthening our resilience. We will create value by continuing to transform Allianz into an organization that is centered on the customer relationship. We will continue to simplify and standardize our business processes, leveraging our global scale to enhance value for our customers and shareholders. And as I said on today’s media conference call, we have a holistic way of looking at resilience: We try to be build the most diversified model we can that is not exposed to any single shock. Growth is a consequence of successfully serving clients’ needs. If we continue to offer products and services that people really need, and earn the trust of our customers in times of crisis, we will continue to be successful in the years to come. #4QFinancialResults #Allianz

  • Having extended our partnership with Women's Aid Ireland earlier this year for a further three years, we are continuing to strive to shine a light on the increasing issue of violence against women. As part of that work, this Valentine’s Day, we are introducing Dublin to the Dead Flower Shop. 274 flowers are displayed, memorialising the 274 women who have been killed in violent circumstances in Ireland since 1996. To end violence against women, we need men’s help. Take action today with the Ally Action List from Allianz and Women's Aid Ireland at womensaid.ie/men The premises for the Dead Flower Shop at 110 Grafton Street were kindly donated by Irish Life

  • Allianz and Women’s Aid Strengthen Partnership We are proud to announce a new phase in our partnership with Women's Aid Ireland, as we continue our commitment to tackling domestic abuse in Ireland. The announcement follows on from research* by the European Union Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA), which revealed that the number of women who have been directly impacted by domestic abuse across the country has increased. 35% of women in Ireland, more than 1 in 3, have now experienced psychological, physical and/or sexual abuse from an intimate partner, showing just how many people are directly impacted by the issue. With reports from An Garda Síochána indicating over 61,000 contacts related to domestic abuse in 2024, the need for action is more urgent than ever. Over the next three years, Allianz will provide both financial and non-financial support to Women’s Aid, including educational campaigns to spark important conversations and raise awareness. We are also committed to educating our workforce, more than half of whom are women, on recognising the signs of abuse and accessing available resources. Phillip Gronemeyer, CEO of Allianz, emphasises our mission: "We aim to secure futures and give courage to those subjected to domestic abuse. Our partnership with Women’s Aid strengthens our stand alongside the increasing number of women impacted by this issue." Sarah Benson, CEO of Women’s Aid, celebrates our collaboration: "Allianz has inspired lifesaving conversations over the past three years. We look forward to breaking more ground and breaking the taboo around domestic abuse." Together, we strive towards a zero-tolerance society for domestic abuse. 💪 #Allianz #WomensAid #WorldsStrongestWomen
