Arrabawn are proud the present the Larkin Family from Meelick Eyrescourt Ballinasloe as Arrabawns nomination for the prestigous 2024 NDC & Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards taking place this week. The Larkin family’s 170-cow dairy farm in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, represents top-tier Irish farming. Run by Michael Larkin, a business graduate turned farmer, the enterprise focuses on sustainability, herd improvement, and animal welfare. Supported by his family, Michael manages an impressive EBI of 239 and milk solids averaging 487 kg/cow. The farm’s carbon footprint is just 0.78 kg CO₂/litre, aided by biodiversity initiatives, GPS-guided fertilizer spreading, and advanced health monitoring. We wish Michael, Linda, Michael Snr, Marion and family the very best of luck.

We had a brilliant day at Arrabawn Open Day in Gurteen College. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase all of the hard work that we do here at Dairy Data and to talk to so many farmers about the benefits of milk recording. Milk recording is an essential tool for any farmer in the dairy business. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Arrabawn for hosting such an informative day and for having us as an exhibitor!

On Monday, August 5th, the annual North Tipperary Agricultural Show took place at the Nenagh Showgrounds. Established in 1875, this event has been a key part of the community for 149 years. The North Tipperary Agricultural Show plays a vital role in the community. It shows how crucial agriculture is to our lives and gives local producers a chance to showcase their products. This event is a key date on the calendar for farmers, local businesses, and attendees. The event fosters a sense of community by allowing attendees to share ideas and connect with one another. Arrabawn was thrilled to again be the main sponsor for this great event, highlighting our commitment to supporting local community relationships and community spirit. We believe in building strong connections within our community and supporting the important agricultural sector. On the day, there were many exciting displays, a dog show, a kids' play zone, and a petting zoo, to name a few. Arrabawn were excited to also have a display stand on the day. The show was a huge success. There was a large turnout, with hundreds of people in attendance, and they did not let the rain showers dampen the spirits! Congratulations to all involved for organizing a smooth and well-executed show! We look forward to supporting more events like this and strengthening our community ties in the future. We look forward to next year’s show! Below are some pictures from the day! 📷 #arrabawn #northtipperaryagriculturalshow #northtipp #agri #agriculture
