  • We're thrilled to announce that Bus Éireann has been shortlisted for the Sustainable Business Semi-State/Public Body category at the PwC Business Post Sustainable Business Awards! 2024 was a major year of progress for Bus Éireann's sustainability journey highlighting our ongoing commitment to sustainability, innovation, and reducing our environmental footprint. Last year we launched Ireland's first ever regional city electric bus service in Limerick, made possible by works on the electrification of the Roxboro depot, supporting EV charging infrastructure to enable over 2.1 million emission free kms per year. We also updated our sustainability strategy Driving Change 2024-2030 reflecting the dynamic changes taking place in the industry both nationally and internationally. This recognition is only made possible by the dedication, commitment and hard work of all our employees who help make Bus Éireann a multi-award winning company. #SustainableBusinessAwards
