Delighted to see that we're featured in today's The Irish Times. It's always a pleasure to contribute to the discussion of Fertility in the Workplace, and have the opportunity to share about our Framework. Our framework is designed to provide robust support to women navigating the complexities of fertility challenges while empowering employers to retain exceptional female talent and foster a culture of inclusivity. Many thanks to Olive Keogh for the write up! https://lnkd.in/eH8d67jn

If you told me at the beginning of this year that I'd be publishing a book in November, I would have laughed. Writing and publishing a book wasn't necessarily on my vision board as I moved into 2023, (even though countless people have told me over the years that I should write one). But when I went to a networking breakfast in August, I sat across from a publisher and told her about the work that I did. Her immediate response - "Have you ever considered putting this into a book?" I laughed it off as I was 6 months pregnant, and thought if I was ever going to write a book, it wouldn't be for at least another 3 years (if and when I found the time). But then a little voice reminded me that's not how I roll. What's stopping me from doing it right now? Why not follow the creative urge, or at the very least... try. I took the nudge from the universe and three months later, my book is here. This morning I had a very special delivery. It was my first time seeing a copy of my book in the flesh. I can't wait to tell you more about it in the coming days & let you know where and how you can get your hands on the copy. I'm obsessed!!!!!! 🤍 A huge thank you Karen Brown for giving me the nudge to put pen to paper, to my strengths coach Melinda Brecheisen & the incredibly talented Katie Diffley from Rebel Rising for creating the aesthetic & book cover. #Bookreveal #Fembition #Wherefertilitymeetsambition

When 1:1 clients come to us because they want to feel supported on their fertility journey, through a discovery process we help them clarify what type of support is going to support them best. Fertility journeys can be simple or complex, with so many different experiences, underlying fears & obstacles in the way. In this post, let's break down & demystify the different types of fertility support out there. >>> Fertility Coaching + Coaching focuses on the future and a coach works with you to create an actionable strategy for fertility optimization. The focus is more on action than emotional processing. + Sessions are highly structured with action plans. The approach is solution focused and highly strategic. The timeline is custom to your personal needs, for example you may want to work with a coach for 3 months to optimise egg quality. + There's a high level of accountability in coaching, with regular check-ins on progress. Action plans, accountability and timelines are agreed within the session. >>> Fertility Counselling + Counselling focuses on dealing with current or present issues & will provide emotional support and coping strategies. You can expect a moderate level of emotional exploration. + Sessions are semi-structured, with a supportive and empathetic approach. Counselling sessions are shorter term, can be weeks to months to work through current issues you may be dealing with. + Sometimes you’ll be given reflective exercises and coping strategies that you would embody in between sessions in your own time. >>> Fertility Therapy (psychotherapy) + Focuses on healing the past, a qualified therapist will help you Identify past trauma and treat mental health issues related to fertility. Often there is deep emotional exploration. + Sessions are more structured, following psychological theories. The approach is very diagnostic & analytical. You would work with a therapist long-term, often months to years. + You may be advised to do simple tasks like journalling, but typically the focus is more around emotional understanding. ✨️ Whats the best approach for you? There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Whether it’s the deep emotional dive and mental health support offered by therapy, the empathetic ear and coping strategies of counseling, or the actionable steps and goal-setting found in coaching, all three are excellent modalities in their own right. The 'best' choice is highly personal and entirely dependent on your unique needs and where you find yourself on your fertility journey. So, refer back to this post, assess your needs, and empower yourself to make the choice that feels just right for you. Remember, this journey is yours, and you deserve the support that makes you feel strong, capable, and ready for the road ahead.
