As a heart valve disease patient myself and more importantly a husband, and dad to 2 daughters, it was a priviledge to be part of this meeting today in Madrid. Thank you to all the delegates and my GHH colleagues Karen Padilla and Teresa Glynn for the vision.
💜 Global Heart Hub, in collaboration with EngageMinds HUB hosted a thought-provoking and insightful in-person roundtable in Madrid today, focusing on improving the patient pathway for women with heart valve disease. 👥 This event was co-chaired by Jacqueline Lewis, Patient Advocate, UK and Prof. Marta Sitges, Hospital Clínic, Universitat de Barcelona, Spain, bringing together 30 international experts from 14 countries representing the heart team, patient advocates, patient organisation leaders, researchers, policymakers, and industry partners. 📢 This roundtable serves as a crucial step towards developing a consensus-driven report incorporating international expert insights to drive advocacy improvements in the patient pathway for women with HVD in different countries and settings. 🫀 We need to start thinking #HeartFirst. #ListenToYourHeart #ListenToHerHeart 🙏 A huge thank you to all who contributed—we look forward to sharing the outcomes soon!
