A very big thank you to everyone who attended our Grow Remote coffee morning on Friday and also to those who contributed later on. We managed to raise €190 for Irish Cancer Society and catch up with friends 👏🏻👏🏻 Thanks to Noeleen Mc Taggart for bringing the merchandise to us and for arranging all the collections locally here in Longford. Such a worthy cause it was great to be part of it and hear the brave journeys that people have been on.🌼

If you have time, pop by a collection point and donate! If you can’t make it in person, you can also donate online here: https://lnkd.in/eRxEAGyQ Every contribution makes a difference! 💛 #DaffodilDay #SupportCancerCare

Paschal Donohoe recently spoke about the threat to 10,000-50,000 jobs in Ireland. The location of those jobs will play a factor in the impact. I recently spoke to Brian O'Donovan on the opportunity Ireland is currently missing. We must take a more international view of remote work and set a target to *win into Ireland* a proportion of the remote careers available across Europe. We can give a conservative estimate of 100k location-agnostic careers open today. Setting a target to win a proportion of those, say 10,000, would mean €130 million for the taxpayer. Emer Currie has been leading this in Leinster House since 2018. Perhaps the tariffs may jolt us into action and finally drive a transformational change. https://lnkd.in/eixFjj-T cc Grow Remote

***Opportunity for SMEs*** Ireland ranks 2nd in the EU for remote work adoption, with 970,000 workers (35% of the workforce) now remote or hybrid. SMEs, making up 99.8% of Irish businesses and employing two-thirds of the workforce, are driving this shift. Our recent research shows SMEs embrace remote work for better well-being, productivity, talent access, and retention. But challenges like communication, culture, and management remain. That’s why I’m excited about The Forward Project, a new initiative by Grow Remote, co-funded by the Irish Government and the EU. This fully funded program helps SMEs future-proof their business and unlock the full potential of a digital workplace. Don’t miss this opportunity! There are limited places on this pilot project so express interest and book a discovery call today: https://lnkd.in/epaQ-dPF #remote #SMEs #consultancy #newproject
