Ireland South Women and Infants Directorate is a unique, clinically-led network of maternity hospitals in the south of Ireland. The directorate includes Cork University Maternity Hospital as the tertiary centre and the maternity units of University Hospital Kerry, University Hospital Waterford and Tipperary University Hospital. Ireland South Women & Infants Directorate is part of the South/South West Hospital Group. The academic partner is University College Cork (UCC), providing a framework for education, training, research and innovation across the directorate. The network leads the way as the first and only maternity directorate in Ireland, collaborating and supporting one another and providing opportunities to achieve real change and improve outcomes for women, babies and their families.
