As part of our commitment to drive better access to finance and funding for women at all stages of their business journey, Enterprise Ireland is delighted to collaborate with our colleagues in the Irish Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (IVCA) on the ‘Road to VC Investment’ programme. The aim of this programme is to increase the amount of venture capital invested in women-led businesses in Ireland, and participants had the opportunity to access webinars, mentoring and networking opportunities, and masterclasses, focusing on a broad range of topics from tax governance and legal considerations, to pitching and investor panels. The third phase of this programme recently concluded with a networking event in Dublin, and this year there were 30 participants. Learn more in this video from Enterprise Ireland's Anna-Marie Turley and the Irish Venture Capital & Private Equity Association's Sarah-Jane Larkin. And also hear from some of the funders and founders who engaged with this year's programme on why it is important for the ecosystem and women entrepreneurs, including Denise Sidhu (Kernel Capital), Elle Sander (Lifelet Medical), Alison Liddy (Ph.D) (Relevium Medical), and Ciara Sheahan (Orb Media).

€8m has been invested by food company Kepak Group in upgrading its factory in Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath, to enhance market access, quality and efficiency. This investment was supported by the Government's Capital Investment Scheme, administered by Enterprise Ireland. Jenny Melia, Executive Director, Enterprise Ireland said; “Enterprise Ireland is committed to supporting companies like Kepak to continue to grow and scale, and to support job growth and expand in a sustainable manner. We believe that Irish-owned enterprises can, over time, be the prime driver of the Irish economy, and companies like Kepak will play an important role in realising that ambition. Enterprise Ireland is proud to support this new facility at Kepak Kilbeggan under the 2021 Capital Investment Scheme, which aims to build the resilience of the Irish agri-food sector. On behalf of Enterprise Ireland, I would congratulate Kepak for their agility and innovation, with the aim of driving export growth and job creation and wish them every future success.” Read more RTE https://shorturl.at/T5y4A
