Travel professionals from the Global Incentive Summit received a warm welcome to Killarney earlier this week, and we were delighted to offer members a taste of the O'Donoghue Ring Collection during their visit. Throughout the week, delegates enjoyed Killarney's beautiful surroundings, soaking in our rich cultural heritage while enjoying unique local experiences. Over the course of two days, we welcomed guests on an immersive tour of Killarney Urban Farm followed by a farm-to-fork lunch at The Tan Yard; a showcase of our unique menu provenance and a taster of the delicious flavours on our doorstep. Guests also experienced an authentic Irish Pub Experience at O’Donoghue Public House, with hearty traditional dishes accompanied by local pours. Day 2 kicked off with an inspiring session led by renowned global explorer Pat Falvey, whose stories of adventure set a high tone for the day. Attendees then immersed themselves in unique Killarney experiences, soaking in the local beauty and culture. Global Incentive Summit (GIS) 2024, the annual event for top incentive professionals got underway this week in Killarney. Northstar Meetings Group, in partnership with Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland, is hosting the summit, which brings together 180 North American incentive travel planners and global incentive suppliers. The event has the potential to generate €6.3m in revenue for the region for future years. "We are delighted to welcome business event representatives to Ireland this week,” said Paul Mockler, Fáilte Ireland's Head of Commercial Development. “Kerry is the perfect location to host this event, and we are delighted that attendees will be able to experience first-hand what makes Ireland so special.
