Progress in final stages of completion by B&C Contractors Group led by Colm McBride and Jim McBride delivering 197 much needed 1-5 bedroom private new homes in Dun Oir, Kiltiernan made up of apartments, duplexes and 2 -3 storey houses with apartments purchased by The Land Development Agency. COADY Architects master planned the site and as well as bringing the project to site, COADY Architects are HPI Assessors briefed to achieve Irish Green Building Council HPI Certified on all units with the following key indicators targeted (subject to audit) 1. Land Use – Over 34% green cover with native and adopted species 2. Surface Water - SuDs measures with green roofs, permeable paving to car parking, tree pits, swales, a detention basin and a rain garden ensure QBar run off rate @ 29 l/s 3. Water Conservation - On site survey reporting by Michael Colgan at SONAS Bathrooms  has verified HPI Level 4  with < 85 LPD and also meets the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) #climatechallenge 2025 target 4. Ecology - Mitchell + Associates - Landscape Architects Urban Designers designed the #biodiversity specification to achieve highest HPI Level 4 with native planting including all non paved area suitable for growing vegetables, butterfly restaurants , food for birds all year, areas for natural succession & over 50 flowering Irish wild herbs 5.  Construction Waste – All recorded waste records with 0.005% to landfill including declared tonnage and destination declared for muck and stones, all  ensuring accurate LCA reporting 6. Operation Waste – highest HPI  level achieved with all waste areas safe access for collectors , Part M user access,  well lit , vented, screened, secure punch code access, cold tap, sloped floor to gully with power supply for washing down and ducted for CCTV    7. EPD’s  - B&C Contractors Group procured over 20 material with #EPDs to achieve the highest HPI Level 4  to ISO14025 and EN15804: A2 8. Acoustics- All tests by BET Building Envelope Technologies above highest HPI level with 9dB over minimum airborne sound levels and 9db under maximum impact sound levels 9.
