O'Connor Sutton Cronin continued their presence at MIPIM 2025 in Cannes, one of the world's premier real estate events, bringing together key stakeholders, investors, and industry leaders from across the globe. This year was particularly significant as the guys attended the inaugural Irish presence at the Ireland Real Estate Investment Pavilion in the prestigious Carlton Hotel. The pavilion served as a dedicated platform to showcase Ireland’s investment opportunities, and they were pleased to hear positive messaging from the government regarding their ambitious plans to tackle housing challenges and drive sustainable development. MIPIM 2025 provided an invaluable opportunity to engage with international partners, exchange insights on the evolving real estate landscape, and explore innovative solutions shaping the future of the built environment. As part of the Adare Bypass project, we are collaborating closely with Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail to construct three new structures over the Limerick to Foynes Railway. This partnership is crucial for enhancing regional transport infrastructure and ensuring seamless connectivity. Over the past week, our team has achieved a significant milestone with the successful pouring of the deck on one of these bridges, identified as RB02. This stage represents a critical point in the project timeline, showcasing the progress we are making towards completing these vital structures. The pouring of the deck is a complex task that requires precision and careful planning, reflecting our commitment to adhering to high engineering standards and safety protocols. Moving forward, we anticipate further advancements as we continue to work diligently on this essential infrastructure project. John Cradock Limited - JCL

We are delighted to share that Rory Barrett from our London office attended the Youth Policy Dialogue for the European Commission yesterday which was hosted by the Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, and the Rule of Law Michael McGrath. It was hosted in the Irish Architectural Archive in Dublin, and it was attended by 30 youth participants from across the EU – specifically people from Sweden, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Italy, France, and Ireland. The goal of the dialogue was to promote youth participation in engaging with democracy because of the recent rise in far-right populist parties in certain countries in the EU, which has put democracy at risk of being eradicated. The event was deemed a success with so many bright ideas coming to light of different ways to encourage the youth to go out and exercise their right to vote – with ideas such as how politics is taught in the education sector of different EU Member States and how certain quotas should be introduced into political parties meaning that certain age groups must have a representative party member "of that age group". The day was concluded with a visit to Experience Ireland – a new interactive exhibition located in Chatham Street where Rory learned about the ins and outs of how the European Commission and Parliament go about their work. #youthpolicydialogue #europeancommission #youthparticipation #ocsc #dublin
