ORIX Aviation are delighted to congratulate our Airline Economics Forty Under 40 honouree for the Class of 2024, Head of Aircraft & Asset Management Origination Cian Coakley. The Airline Economics 40 under 40 Class of 2024 has been compiled from yet another record amount of nominations and endorsements, many from senior members of the wider aviation community. All 40 members of the final list received 1,624 endorsements in total, with the majority of those from clients. Cian has been recognised for the third year in succession by ORIX customers who once again highlighted the value and support he has brought to relationships in the midst of multiple challenges to our sector. The Class of 2024 were also given the opportunity to nominate individuals that have acted as a mentor or an inspiration during their aviation industry career. Today, we published an update for the Financial Year ended 31 March 2024, which demonstrates strong results and continued growth, in addition to two significant ExCo promotions, Marie-Louise Kelly to Senior Executive Officer alongside her existing role as Chief Financial Officer and Yushi Tanaka to the new role of Chief Investment Officer and Senior Executive Officer. Our Chief Executive Officer, James Meyler, commented;   “Once again we have delivered a strong financial performance across all of our key metrics. In generating total revenues of $323.2m (+25%) and profits of $134.9m (+46%), we have recorded significant growth over the past twelve months. We have also executed 130 aircraft transactions, which included over $2.1bn in trading activity. With a positive market backdrop, we are planning for further growth and investment into FY2025.   I am also delighted to announce two significant promotions within our ORIX Aviation ExCo team. These promotions are designed to strengthen ORIX Aviation and streamline our business. I congratulate Marie-Louise and Yushi on their well-deserved appointments. In their new roles, they will assume additional responsibilities across our business, and as my only two direct reports will work closely with me as we continue to grow ORIX Aviation and deliver on our strategy.”

ORIX Aviation was pleased to attend the Wings Club Aviation Leader Series Luncheon on Thursday at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin and to see over 400 aviation executives at the event.   ORIX Aviation CEO and Wings Club Europe Chair, James Meyler, hosted the event and sat down with guest speaker Ted O'Byrne, AviLease CEO, to discuss the growth of the platform following its establishment in 2022 and to share their insights on the aircraft leasing industry.

Considered one of the most prestigious accolades available to in-house lawyers, the European Counsel Awards represent a true benchmark for success in the profession.
