The Ulysses 2026 Call is now open for applications. The aim of the Ulysses scheme is to foster new collaborations between Ireland and France-based researchers by providing seed funding for reciprocal travel visits. The scheme thus facilitates the exchange of innovative ideas and approaches across all disciplines. Research Ireland and the Embassy of France in Ireland are committed to supporting continued knowledge exchange between Irish and French researchers through appropriate forms of collaboration. Apostolos Koutsioukis and Manting Mu of Trinity College Dublin, along with Niraj Patil of University of Limerick have been selected to attend the 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting for Chemistry, which will take place from 29 June – 4 July 2025. Joint funding of over €7 million was announced today through the US-Ireland R&D Partnership Programme. This tripartite R&D partnership between the Republic of Ireland, USA and Northern Ireland increases collaborations between researchers and industry across the three jurisdictions.
