Exciting news for our Wilde Aparthotels Oxford development!

🌟End of 2027 target open date for our Wilde Aparthotels, Oxford, George Street development 🌟 We’re delighted to announce that Marick Real Estate has shared the completion schedule for the build of the new Oxford 145-room Wilde. This fabulous new property is due to be completed by end of 2027! The redevelopment of the former cinema on 38-40 George Street involves replacing the existing structure with a higher quality, more energy efficient building housing the aparthotel and a 400m2 community space to be managed by Makespace Oxford. Staycity Group’s development director for the UK, Simon Walford said; “We are very excited to be opening a Wilde in the historic and popular city of Oxford and in such a key location as the Gloucester Green area, which is close to shops, restaurants, bars and theatres. The aparthotel will make a huge contribution towards the city’s need for more overnight accommodation,” “Our design-led Wilde brand, the first of which opened in London’s Covent Garden in 2017, was originally inspired by the celebrated Irish playwright and poet Oscar Wilde so it seems particularly fitting to be opening in the city where he was himself a student.” #Wilde #WildeAparthotels #Oxford #Development #Construction

Staycity Group were very proud to support The Friends of the Iveagh Markets at Saturday’s Open House Dublin event in Tivoli Square, run by the Irish Architecture Foundation.   It was a fantastic day celebrating the rich architectural heritage of the Liberties and of the market itself. Visitors enjoyed screenings of architecture documentaries including a rare look inside the Iveagh Markets, a photographic exhibition where traders from the Markets shared their memories and took part in a guided walking tour, "From Tivoli Square to Lamb Alley," exploring the market and surrounding area.   It was an honour to support the 19th year of Open House Dublin and The Friends of the Iveagh Markets, and we loved being part of it!

Introducing our newest aparthotel - Wilde, London, Liverpool Street. Here, you are on the cusp of London’s most diverse district: where creativity, transport and big business meet. Shoreditch and Spitalfields are on one side. The City is on the other, reaching business travellers who have just come in from Liverpool Street and the airports beyond. In all, a real melting pot of cultures and influences. With 106 apartments, our newest aparthotel features a beautifully designed lobby on the ground floor, with a bar and communal space where guests can gather, work, eat and drink. The interior makes use of artworks, crafts and ceramics created by London-based artists, creative lighting and striking furniture, giving the space a retro-lifestyle vibe. We’ve worked with fantastic local, small-batch suppliers like specialist cheesemongers and artisanal butchers to create our small-but-mighty menus. We’re proud to say that our food offering is 70% locally sourced, 55% organic, and 100% designed by a nutritionally-trained chef. Wilde, Liverpool Street also boasts a beautifully designed gin bar, serving locally sourced artisan gin, as well as wine, beers, barrel-aged cocktails and more. We're opening our doors today. Stop by, won’t you? https://lnkd.in/eCmWqN2s #NewOpening #London #LiverpoolStreet #WildeAparthotels

Wilde is coming to Battersea! We’re excited to announce the acquisition of a fantastic new site for our Wilde Aparthotels brand in the vibrant area of Battersea in London. The property will offer a 177-room mix of studios and one-bedroom apartments all with fully-equipped kitchens. On-site facilities will include a laundry room, 24-hour reception, lounge area, a café, pantry, gym and a beautifully designed bar. Neil Short, our development director for London, said: “The Nine Elms/Battersea area has been on Staycity’s target radar following the announcement of the Northern line extension. Since the prestigious redevelopment of Battersea Power Station was completed, attracting the relocation of the US embassy and Apple’s European headquarters, it has become one of the most vibrant and active areas of London. We’re excited to be playing a part in its growth story.” Building is expected to begin in 2026 with Citygrove Securities plc and completion in the second half of 2027. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project as we move forward! #Wilde #London #Battersea #Development
