We are shocked and thrilled to have won the Best in Content Creation (Company with Less than 20 Employees) at the Cork Digital Marketing Awards last Friday! 🎉 Using their words, this award recognised the masterful way our team creates stories that resonate, images that inspire and videos that captivate. Those words brought a few tears to our eyes because this is really the heart of what we try to achieve here at Stolen Stitches. For us, it’s about more than content creation. It’s about weaving the threads of our communities' stories, our shared experiences, and our creativity and passion for knitting, into the content that brings our vibrant community to life across our blogs, newsletter, education spaces and social platforms. For a small team we produce such a wide range of content and I’m proud to say that our team is constantly adapting, learning and striving to bring our digital side to life in a way that feels true to us while raising the standard year on year. What happens when passionate wool enthusiasts, innovative craftspeople, and industry leaders unite under one roof? You get 'Wonderful Wool'- a celebration of Irish-grown wool as a sustainable force for the future! 🧶 Hosted by the Irish Grown Wool Council in collaboration with FII, the sold-out event held at Ulster University was a vibrant mix of creativity, collaboration, and forward-thinking ideas. Highlights of the Day: 🔹 Panel Discussion: Experts from Irish Grown Wool Council, Donegal Yarns Ltd (Chris Weiniger), ULSTER WOOLS LIMITED (Jane Harkness-Bones), Stolen Stitches Ltd (Laura Perrem), Belfast School of Art (Alison Gault, Anna Duffy) and Tellenby Merino Stud. (Lesley Prior) shared their insights on the future of wool in sustainability, innovation, and the importance of building a strong, traceable supply chain. 🔹 Interactive Seminar: Attendees engaged with talented craftspeople from across Ireland, discussing grassroots innovations in wool production and exploring ways to integrate wool into industry applications. 🔹 Maker's Demonstration & Exhibit: A vibrant display of wool's versatility, with hands-on exhibits from artisan demonstrators showcasing the beauty and practicality of wool in textiles and beyond. This event is a great example of what can happen when people come together with a shared vision for a more sustainable future.
