BIG NEWS! We’ve never written a LinkedIn post quite like this one before. There are two dates that now define THINKHOUSE. The date the company was formed 01.10.01 …And 16.10.23. Today, Monday, 16th October 2023, we publicly announce that we’re now B Corp Certified, joining a global community of over 7,500 companies working to make business a force for good. For years, we’ve been very inspired by the B Corp clients we’ve worked with; Ben & Jerry's, Tony's Chocolonely and innocent drinks. Their world-view has always been a strong match for ours, challenging the status quo for long term value over short term gain. Why is this pivotal? In this new era as a B Corp, this means THINKHOUSE is now: 🟠 Part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact. 🟠 Legally required to consider all stakeholders in its activities. B stands for ‘benefit for all.’  🟠 Is counted among businesses that are leading a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.  🟠 Bringing our clients into a growing international community network that chooses to support B Corp via their supply chain. Our Transformation, Planet and Fame services are designed for brands/businesses that care about people and planet. Becoming a B Corp is about putting in immense effort into something that we know actually matters, even if it’s not ‘what the industry does’ yet. It’s no longer good enough to aim to be ‘the best in the world’, but instead we must also aim to be the ‘best for the world.’ Thank you for being with us on this journey, we're excited for the future. Love, The Thinkhouse Team #Bcorp #Blab #Bcorpcertified B Lab B Lab Europe

As an SDG Champion, we were delighted to welcome Natasha Esther Maimba, one of two United Nations Youth Delegates from Ireland, to THINKHOUSE HQ this week, for a fireside chat with Claire Hyland, Head of The Youth Lab. Natasha, fresh in the door from The Summit of The Future at the UN, New York, shared an overview of key outcomes of the Summit including the Pact For The Future, Global Digital Compact (GDC) and the Declaration on Future Generations (DFG), all designed to 'turbo-charge implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals’ in line with Agenda 2030, and bring long-view leadership into the decision-making process to benefit future generations. Natasha’s enthusiasm, empathy, warmth and intelligence, alongside her own lived experience of growing up in the Direct Provision system as a nine year-old newcomer to Ireland, makes her a brilliant representative for young people in Ireland. Her role involves acting as a ‘youth representative bridge' into both the Irish government and the broader international multilateral community, including the UN’s Major Group for Children and Youth. Key priority areas of focus, reflecting the needs and priorities of Irish youth, include climate change, and peace and security. Given her background and her activism work in climate justice, Natasha highlighted the link between climate and immigration, “If you are concerned that a huge concentration of the world are moving into such a small part of our planet, you have to recognise that that is only going to increase given how our climate crisis is going...climate change is going to be a huge exacerbator of the migration issue." Natasha spoke eloquently and passionately for strong leadership today - leadership that respects and values the needs of young people, and brings the voice of young people into decision making, while also recognising the importance of intergenerational allyship and collaboration. She finished by reminding us of the need to focus on hopeful stories and good outcomes, rather than fall into the trap of 'doom and gloom' scrolling. Natasha gave us all hope for the future.  To all the young leaders in Ireland and beyond, we salute you. #SDGsIRL #SDGs #SummitOfTheFuture #Youth United Nations Youth Office  To watch the full fireside chat view here -  https://lnkd.in/epktTggg

This divergence, driven by social movements and social media echo chambers , is affecting not just individual beliefs but also political strategies. This week's 52INSIGHTS explores the reasons behind this shift and its implications for society and future elections. Need some weekend listening? Laura Costello and our Good Life 2030 Ireland Citizen Vision report was mentioned on the amazing Outrage + Optimism podcast! We're huge fans of this podcast, which in it’s latest mini-series is exploring the vital topic that so many of us are navigating: 'How to live a good life in a climate crisis?' Our Good Life project relates deeply to this theme. Over the last 3 years we’ve been speaking to citizens from the UK and Ireland to ask what people what a good life truly means to them. We found nothing matters more than connection. To self to others and to nature. The Outrage + Optimism podcast is hosted by true leaders in the climate space the chief Architects of the Paris Agreement Christiana Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac and the brilliant Paul Dickinson. It’s great to see this question being asked, for more people to share their feelings on this topic. Listen to the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/e-ncpQc5 And discover our Good Life UK and Ireland citizen vision reports here: https://lnkd.in/ezST8r2e We hope you are doing something this weekend that is helping you feel connected. #GoodLife2030
