This week was a celebration of all you accomplished on campus during your studies and now we look forward to how you all choose to transform lives and societies after your time here. You are all very welcome back to campus for one of our many events, reunions, or just to pop in and say hello!
What a week! Over 4,400 DCU graduates walked across the stage this week in The Helix and became members of our global DCU Alumni community, which has more than 100,000 people! In his final address to our most recent graduates, DCU President Professor Daire Keogh said: ‘The world has never needed graduates like you more than it does now. It needs people with your attitude and skills - creativity, innovation, adaptability, and critical thinking - to address the huge challenges we face.’ ‘We can’t just stand back or give up. Remember, the great challenges of the world are man-made, and they are situations which humanity can solve. It's about acting like leaders by plunging ourselves into new projects and activities, by volunteering, stepping up, interacting with different kinds of people, and experimenting with unfamiliar ways of getting things done. Remember, leadership is not an office, but an attitude.’ he concluded in his address to #DCUClassof2024. We truly hope all of DCU’s newest graduates and their families had a wonderful time back on campus this week, celebrating #DCUGraduation. We would really urge graduates all to keep in touch with the University via our DCU Alumni office - we always love to hear how DCU graduates are getting on, as well as highlighting the wonderful opportunities we have for DCU Alumni, such as the award winning mentoring programme. For now though… take a bow #DCUClassof2024, it’s been a blast!
