עלינו
We are the families and friends of hundreds of innocent abductees from 25 nationalities taken hostage by Hamas. We are not a political organization - the entire headquarters are operating on a completely voluntary basis We formed the Hostage and Missing Families Forum Less than 24 hours after the horrific attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7th, in which thousands of innocent civilians were murdered and taken hostage by Hamas. The Forum is focused on bringing the hostages back home to their families, to us. The forum offers families holistic support and professional assistance and advances the ongoing efforts through all channels, locally, regionally and globally, to bring the hostages and the missing back home to their loved ones. Demanding the release of innocent hostages does not require bravery, it is not political either. Many of the hostages are children, women and the elderly. We demand to bring them home now. Counting thousands of volunteers and supporters, the Hostage and Missing Families Forum includes family members and friends of the hostages alongside top security, law, media and diplomacy experts who are donating their time to the cause. #Bringthemhomenow

Ronen and Orna Neutra, parents of American-Israeli Omer Neutra who marks his 23rd birthday in captivity today: "As a nation, we need Omer and all other hostages back". A "Singing for Their Return" event was held this evening at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, with prayers for the hostages' return and the safety of IDF soldiers. The event began with discussion circles where family members shared their stories with supporters who gathered to listen and show solidarity. Education Minister Yoav Kish joined the discussion circles and told the hostages' families: "Their absence here means we have failed. We are doing everything to bring them back, and there is a real opportunity now." Photos credit: Paulina Patimer #BringThemHomeNow #TurnTheHorrorIntoHope

For over a year, their eyes have looked upon us from every corner—those missing people we never knew personally, yet for whom we fight tirelessly to bring back. During their captivity in Gaza, we’ve learned so much about them—we’ve listened to their favorite music, cooked their beloved meals, and connected with their families. Still, so many questions remain unanswered… But we promise, we will not stop until every one of them is home!

A scientific paper published today in the Rambam Maimonides Medical Journal analyzes severe health complications among elderly hostages captured in Hamas's October 7, 2023 attack. Authored by Professor A. Mark Clarfield and Professor Hagai Levine (Head of the Health Team at the Hostages Families Forum), the study focuses on three hostages aged 80 and above, highlighting the health risks associated with prolonged captivity under harsh conditions. The research examines both physical and psychological impacts on elderly hostages, particularly how age-related vulnerabilities are compounded by minimal or nonexistent medical care during captivity. The analysis draws from interviews with two Hamas captivity survivors - Yocheved Lifshitz, released after 17 days, and Elma Avraham, released after 51 days in critical condition - as well as data from family members. The paper also addresses concerns regarding the response and actions of international humanitarian organizations throughout this ongoing crisis. Professor Levine, Head of Health team, the Hostages Families Forum: "The findings emphasize the severe impact of captivity on elderly hostages who were already managing multiple chronic health conditions. The lack of access to essential medications and basic care, combined with prolonged detention in inadequate conditions, poses a significant risk to their lives. Sadly, our concerns have been validated as many hostages did not survive the terrible conditions of captivity. The hostages, both elderly and non-elderly, are running out of time. Only their release can ensure their survival and prevent further deterioration and inhuman suffering." Abstract - https://lnkd.in/dNU_SWNC Full PDF - https://lnkd.in/dmj4A7Sp

"It could have been any one of us. This is my child and she needs to come back. They all need to come back." Dr. Ayelet Levy Shachar, Naama Levy's mother, spoke at the Knesset's Committee for the Advancement of Women's Status, while Naama's friends and family members entered, dressed in the same appearance we all remember from her horrific abduction video, as part of the "Dress Like Naama" Installation. "I want to make Naama's voice heard" Ayelet continued. "I don't know what other words to say. We're still on October 7, 2023. There's no need to worry about another October 7 because this one hasn't ended yet." Shira Albag, the mother of Liri Albag: "It's difficult to see this, but this is how our daughters are there, and probably all the hostages, including the men. For a year they've been sitting in shackles - we heard this from returned hostages - that they were tied up at their hands and feet, that they had no food, showers, or hygiene."

We continue to receive reports and testimonies indicating that the health condition of the hostages is still declining. This is what we know for certain about the hostages released in November 2023: 100% experienced violence, some of which was severe. 100% suffered from starvation. 100% faced health complications due to poor conditions or injuries. 100% are still suffering from psychological trauma. That was over 330 days ago. We witnessed the terrible physical condition of the six murdered hostages recovered from Sinwar’s tunnel. Their health cannot continue to deteriorate indefinitely; it can only lead to one outcome. They don't have time—they need to return home with the deal. Now! #BringThemHomeNow #TurnTheHorrorIntoHope
