I had the incredible honor of meeting Prof. Shimon Schocken during our recent What's Next meetup at NextSilicon. For 20 years, Shimon has been working on the nand2tetris project, inspiring millions of students with his teachings on how computers work—from designing gates and basic CPUs to creating compilers and even a Tetris game. His lessons ignited my own curiosity and passion for this field. At NextSilicon, I am building my dream with a 5nm chip to develop a groundbreaking compute architecture with 108 billion transistors. We are building everything on top of this, from compilers to software layers, all aimed at accelerating scientific progress. I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this journey.
