[FMVSS 127 - Problem Solved] Imagine driving on a dark, rainy night when suddenly, a pedestrian appears ahead. Your vehicle’s Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system must detect and react instantly to prevent a collision. But how can it perform reliably in low visibility? Our real-life footage is captured below! #FMVSS 127, the recent #AEB nighttime regulation, sets higher safety standards for pedestrian & vehicle detection under challenging conditions. The regulation mandates that AEB systems ensure consistent, accurate, and reliable performance in low-light environments. This is where #SEDAR makes a difference. TriEye's SWIR-based sensing technology overcomes the toughest AEB challenges by offering: > Superb Pedestrian Detection & Classification Up To 200m Distance > Fully Synced HD Image & 3D Map > Robust Detection In Adverse Weather And All Lighting Conditions > Immunity To Glare And Dynamic Range Scenes > Agnostic To Objects & Ambient Temperature Dive deeper into the topic in our latest blog ›› https://lnkd.in/dFbRNqWZ #FMVSS127 #AEB #NHTSA #ADAS #SEDAR #TriEye #RoadSafety #SWIR

📣 ANNOUNCEMENT: The BIRD Foundation is investing $6 million in five new collaborative projects between U.S. and Israeli companies! Spanning electronics, healthcare, medical devices, and quantum computing, these partnerships highlight the BIRD Foundation’s commitment to advancing impactful solutions through strategic binational R&D collaboration. With additional private-sector investment, the projects boast a combined budget of $15 million, demonstrating confidence in U.S. and Israeli innovators to jointly develop and bring cutting-edge capabilities to market. As Mr. Mike Molnar, Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Office at National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and co-chair of the BIRD Board of Governors, noted: “What makes the Foundation so successful is the emphasis on meaningful partnerships between U.S. and Israeli companies that value collaboration.” The latest BIRD projects are: 🔹 Medasense Biometrics Ltd. (Israel) & Blink Device Company (Seattle, WA): Developing an advanced anesthesia monitoring system that tracks pain, muscle relaxation, and level of consciousness, helping doctors make accurate decisions during surgery. 🔹 QEDMA (Israel) & Amazon Web Services (AWS) (Seattle, WA): Creating HPC-enhanced quantum error mitigation designed to execute larger quantum circuits and drive progress in practical quantum computing applications. 🔹 RespirAI Medical (Israel) & Right at Home (Omaha, NE): Building an AI-powered home monitoring platform for managing multiple chronic health conditions and early detection of flare-ups. 🔹 SpotitEarly (Israel) & Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System (Philadelphia, PA): Developing, testing and validating an early cancer detection technology for multiple types of cancer that combines AI technology with dogs’ highly sensitive sense of smell. 🔹 TriEye (Tel Aviv, Israel) & Lumotive (Redmond, WA): Combining Lumotive’s beamforming technology based on LCM™ Chip (Light Control Metasurface) with TriEye’s CMOS-based SWIR imaging technology to build a compact, high-performance sensor for autonomous vehicles and other applications. Congratulations to all the awarded projects! We wish you great success in turning your bold ideas into transformative realities! Looking ahead, Dr. Alon Stopel, Chief Scientist of Innovation at the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, and co-chair of BIRD’s Board of Governors, highlighted the upcoming opportunities: “We congratulate the awarded companies and encourage other tech companies to submit their projects to benefit from collaborations via the BIRD Foundation and the thriving U.S.-Israeli ecosystem.” 🔗 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dsbcwJcX ❗️The next chance to join BIRD's thriving ecosystem?
