Strawberries VS drought experiemnt !🍓 💻 👇 In this article, the researchers investigate how strawberry plants respond to different levels of water stress, such as drought and waterlogging. Their aim is to understand the physiological, chemical, and molecular changes in strawberry plants under these conditions. By utilizing the #PlantArray system, they were able to precisely measure various factors, such as transpiration rate and biomass to identify key genes and metabolic processes that help strawberries cope with drought. Hundreds of plant varieties tested using the system have led to discoveries in both the academic and commercial worlds. Want to know how? Res Agraria , a CRO company based in Italy and our valued customers, installed two climatic chambers equipped with our PlantArray system, to perform fast screenings. So, let's dive into these new chambers: ✔️ An indoor growth system, with variable-spectrum light, allows the clients to develop new products or perform screening trials to help the plants express their potential better. ✔️ Climatic Chamber is the ideal habitat for developing different diseases, fast growth for all kinds of plants, without seasonality, and survival of many insects. ✔️ It permits us to evaluate the plant's resistance to the abiotic stresses, changing the temperature (from 8C °to 40 C °), humidity (from 55% up to 95%), amount of CO2, intensity of light, and photoperiod. We invite you to join our community and discover a world of knowledge, technology, and inspiration - learn more about the PlantArray - https://lnkd.in/dXPDJJMN

A short simulation of how we set up the system for our client: In this example, The researchers combine the application of four different fertilizers to test their effectiveness and observe the plants' responses to each. With the PlantArray system, it's possible to combine various treatments in a single experiment, allowing for the most accurate comparison between them, while also saving significant time. All the data collected from the system is automatically uploaded to our software, where it is promptly analyzed for the researcher 😀. Did you know? An experiment performed with the #PlantArray phenotyping system does not need to complete an entire growth cycle. With the PlantArray, you can complete an experiment in just three weeks and reach conclusions within a few days of starting. How is that possible? The physiological response of plants to various stresses (such as dryness, salinity, and nutrient deficiencies) occurs shortly after the change and well before any visual signs appear. Don't be left behind! With PlantArray, you can perform more experiments, obtain more accurate and reliable results, and accelerate your discoveries! #phenotyping #plant #Biostimulnats #sustainability #science #drought #flood #salinity #nutrients #phenotypic #research #genotype #genetics

Did you know? Using the PlantArray platform and its unique monitoring and analysis method, you can save entire seasons in your #research and make many more discoveries! While other methods, such as imaging, are relevant when the data is visible, the #PlantArray detects the plant's behavior much earlier through its physiological responses—like the #AppleWatch you know! (Just a little more sophisticated 😉) A wide variety of studies can be performed using the system, including comparative genetic studies, testing the plant's response to various stresses, nutrients, flooding, and more. Prof. Menachem Moshelion presented the #PlantArray system in Tokyo, during a seminar at the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO), organized by Dr. Richard Weisburd and iLand6 (our new distributor in Japan) headed by Mr. Todd Walzer, together with Hiroshi Ezoe, and Misaki Matsutani, hosted by prof. Shuichi Fukuoka and prof. Yusaku UGA. Menachem presented the common mistakes in drought experiment planning. Great seminar with many questions and answers. Meeting in person during a winning trip to Japan is a great experience! Join leading universities from around the world, we can streamline, refine, and accelerate your research. Great visit to the Faculty of Agriculture at The University of Tokyo! Whenever the opportunity arises, we are always happy to visit customers around the world, especially to observe active experiments. The experiment you see involves lettuce grown under different levels of calcium and dryness and is currently being conducted by Prof. Tory Fujiwara, a physiologist who primarily collaborates with nutritionists and researcher Andres Aguilar Ariza. Still relying on manual tools?
