Lego Releases 'The Crafting Table', Its First Adult Set for Minecraft

Lego, known for its unique style of toys, is introducing a new lego set to celebrate sandbox game Minecraft’s 15-year anniversary. The Crafting Table is a 1,195-piece set, which is for ages 18 and above. While it does like an in-game crafting table, the diorama actually features 12 biomes from Minecraft inside it.

The company says that the new Lego set will have “familiar biomes, favourite mobs and hidden Easter eggs” and the 12 biomes include Plains via the inclusion of a village, Taiga with a dripstone cave, and Cherry Grove is represented by an abandoned mineshaft. There are eight microfigures including Steve, Alex, a skeleton, a pig, and a Creeper. The whole diorama’s size, once it's completely built, is 5.5 inches x 6 inches x 6 inches.

Minecraft has been around for quite some time now, and given the popularity of both the game and Lego, it’s actually surprising that this is the first adult set Lego has released for Minecraft, as pointed out in Jay's Brick Blog.

The Crafting Table pre-orders are now live, and the set costs $89.99 in the US. The set will be released on August 1, 2024. The price for Lego fans in India is yet to arrive, but we’ll update this story when the details are finally out.

Lego recently also released a new The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set which will be launched on September 1, 2024. The diorama set, inspired from Nintendo’s video game, is priced at $299.99 in the US.
