🌟 Exciting Announcement! 🌟 We are thrilled to host the 1st National Meeting on Sodium(-ion) Batteries (NMSB-1) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from October 4-6, 2024. Co-organized by the Advanced Batteries & Ceramics Laboratory, IIT Bombay, IOE activities of the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, and the IIT Bombay Research Hub for Green Energy and Sustainability (GESH IITB), this event promises to bring together leading experts from Academia, National Laboratories, and Industries. Key highlights include: 🔹 Invited talks on the latest advancements in Na/Na-ion battery science and technology. 🔹 Poster presentations by students and post-doctoral researchers. 🔹 Round table discussions on the challenges; and state-of-the-art and to foster collaboration and innovation (only by invitation). Our team members recently participated in the Swiss Battery Days Conference at ETH Zurich (August 26-28, 2024), where they showcased our ongoing research in the field of advanced batteries. 🔬 Arpita Das presented her work on ‘Development of Sulfone-based High-Voltage Stable Liquid Electrolyte for Next-Generation Lithium-ion Batteries’, 🔋 Dipannita Saha shared her research on ‘A tavorite structured Fe-containing fluorophosphate-based cost-effective and air-stable cathode material for K-ion rechargeable batteries,’ ⚡ Ajay Kumar presented his findings on ‘Effect of Hydrogenation and crystalline vs amorphous structure on the electrochemical Na-transport/storage in Si’. Huge congratulations to all three for representing us so well and advancing research on sustainable energy storage solutions! 💡⚡

During his visit, he delivered an insightful talk on "Design and Development of Solid-State Batteries: Challenges and Opportunities." Additionally, her impressive track record includes 5 co-author publications and numerous accolades on both national and international platforms. Notably, Anagha has presented her work at 6 national conferences, further solidifying her presence in the academic community. 🌟 Poster presentations in the 22nd International Meeting on Lithium Batteries, IMLB 2024! 🌟 Our team members, Arpita Das, and Ajay Kumar, had the incredible opportunity to present their research posters at IMLB held from 16th to 21st June, 2024. Arpita Das won the Best Poster Award for her outstanding research on "Enhancing High Voltage Cyclic Stability in Li-ion Battery Cathodes through Modified 'Layered Li-Transition Metal Oxides' with Low Cobalt Content". This recognition is a testament to her dedication and innovative contributions to the field of lithium battery technology. A huge shoutout to the organizers and fellow participants.

Our group members Shivam More and Sanket Patil successfully defended their MTech thesis. The topic on which Shivam worked is "Fabrication of all solid state sodium metal battery", while Sanket worked on "Conversion alloying based anode material for sodium ion battery" Congratulations to both of them and all the best for your future endeavours.
