Teachers play a pivotal role in shaping our futures. They spark curiosity, nurture critical thinking, and instill lifelong values, helping individuals unlock their full potential. Their influence reaches far beyond the classroom, making them essential to both personal growth and societal progress. This raises an important discussion about how quality education is driven by skilled trainers who hold the power to shape young minds. Since 1961, the Bosch Vocational Center in Bengaluru has trained over 5,000 apprentices, laying a strong foundation for skill development. Building on this legacy, for the past 11 years, we have continued our commitment to enhancing youth employability and empowerment through CSR initiatives and the Bosch India Foundation. A key initiative, the Bosch India Foundation's 'Training the Trainers' program, has mentored over 4,500 trainers, and together with programs like BRIDGE (Bosch's Response to India's Development and Growth through Employability Enhancement), BIF has been actively bridging the gap between current curricula and essential 21st century skills, promoting lifelong experiential learning and enhanced teaching methodology, soft skills, inclusivity, diversity, and creating a supportive network. Moreover, 40 government schoolteachers and government’s education department officials went through rigorous training program involving multiple workshops, thus benefiting nearly 1,348 students as of present. To further bridge the information gap in rural areas, we have established community development centers across 4 states, empowering over 1,500 women and youth. Additionally, our NGO programs have upskilled over 1,000 representatives in the past four years. On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, we extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to the tutors who continue to inspire future generations of leaders. #TeachersDay #Education #SkillDevelopment #EmpoweringTeachers

People are living, breathing collections of stories. Peel back a layer, and you unfold tales of courage, grit, and the indomitable human spirit. Even the most seemingly ordinary human being you know, may have extraordinary achievements to speak of. It is with this belief that we introduce ‘Meet the Boschlers,’ a series that celebrates the accomplishments of our associates beyond the walls of Bosch. In our debut edition, we are pleased to bring you the remarkable story of Jayshree Shinde — a true testament to resilience. Diagnosed with polio at the age of two, she had the determination to truly walk alongside everyone. This focus transformed her into a seasoned marathoner, now having completed over a hundred marathons. At 50, she currently works as the Order Desk Head for Global Business Services at BSH Home Appliances India and continues to redefine what equal access truly means. Her marathon journey began with a setback when her modified three-wheeler scooter collided with a vehicle, injuring her femur bone. As part of her recovery post physiotherapy, she began taking short walks around her neighborhood. These 500 mtrs walks quickly extended to 5 kms, as she pushed her limits each day. By 2014, 5 years after the fateful day, her confidence took flight as she participated in her first marathon, setting the stage for several 21 kms runs and other notable events. During one of her marathons, she was cheered on by Sachin Tendulkar, who called her a “fighter” as she crossed the finish line. One of her most cherished achievements was participating in the Vijayraj Sindhia Women Empowerment Rally — a 365 kms walk from Gwalior to Delhi, where her iron-willed determination was lauded by Smt. Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Women & Child Development. Another walk led to her being noticed by a prominent minister, earning her a spot in the PM’s ‘Fit India Movement’ launch video, which was screened nationwide in 2019. From a young age, Jayashree faced significant challenges. In a family where educating girls was not the norm, she fought to attend school alongside other children, proving from early on in life that disabilities don’t equate to limitations. This resilience and determination carried over into her professional life too, where she focused on her strengths and achieved financial independence. When asked what keeps her constantly motivated, she was quick to respond. Sports! “For me, sports are a celebration of life; not just a hobby.” Her guiding principle in life? Focusing on strengths and opportunities with discipline, instead of shortcomings. We are honored to share a glimpse of her journey and encourage all Boschlers to follow their passion. Keep watching this space for more such incredible stories. #MeetTheBoschlers #InspiringJourneys #BoschAssociates #WorkLifeBalance #TrueLifeStories #HealthAndWellbeing #EmployeeSpotlight #Empowering #Inclusive #Inspirational #LikeABosch #Achievments #Determination #BreakingBarriers

We recently concluded the India Leadership Summit, a dynamic two-day event themed "Think Big, Think Different." The summit brought together our leadership team, across diverse sectors, including mobility, consumer products, software, technology, HR, health and wellness, to engage in meaningful discussions, rethink existing perspectives, and explore innovative approaches to business, all aimed at navigating the ever-evolving business landscape. Our leaders engaged in various sessions designed to deepen their insights and encourage teamwork. From self-reflection exercises, where they evaluated their thoughts on India’s growth story, to networking that strengthened organizational connections, the summit served as a platform for refreshed thinking and fostering collaboration. Staying true to our commitment to supporting holistic wellbeing of both mind and body for all associates, the summit touched upon this aspect by including a rejuvenating sound healing session to begin the day. Kaushik Shaparia, CEO of Deutsche Bank Group, India, delivered profound insights into India’s growth trajectory, a journey marked by significant challenges, but one that is also inspiring, especially with India poised to capitalize on its unique position in the global economy. Shaparia tackled the complexities of premiumization in a diverse economy and highlighted the importance of understanding India’s distinctive market dynamics. He called on leaders to critically evaluate the country’s evolving growth narrative and to embrace innovative strategies to adapt to the rapid changes in the economic landscape. Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of Bosch Group in India and Managing Director of Bosch Limited, underscored the critical need to adapt to swift changes: “To drive exceptional business performance, we must recalibrate our strategies and cultivate a high-performance culture. This culture is essential for boosting productivity and maintaining our competitive edge. As leaders, it is crucial that we champion this approach and inspire our teams to think boldly and embrace new perspectives. I look forward to your support in bringing this to life. For the past 12 years, Primavera India, the CSR arm of Bosch India, has been supporting individuals with neuro-developmental disabilities by providing therapeutic services, special education, life skills training, and vocational programs to help them achieve meaningful livelihoods. Recognizing the numerous challenges these individuals face, we also focus on building the capacity of key stakeholders—including parent caregivers, community health workers, government schools, district-level NGOs, and university students — to better support and empower those with neuro-developmental disabilities. One of these passion projects ties into Akshadhaa Foundation's "Learning on Wheels" — an initiative that is successfully making learning and special education accessible and affordable for children in government schools, primary schools, community schools, and church-run centers from lower economic backgrounds. The project operates via a mobile van, delivering essential services directly to partner NGOs, homes, and schools, ensuring children receive the required training at their doorstep. This approach not only maximizes participation and provides vital support without the need for parents to travel, but has also effectively transformed education and therapeutic services for children from lower economic backgrounds. Overall, this project is an empowering step in the right direction, making something as essential as education, more inclusive, accessible, and independent.    #CommunityEngagement #Inclusivity #Education #Empowerment #BrighterFuture

This year, we marked a decade of the annual ‘Spark of Joy,’ a vibrant event dedicated to spreading happiness, sharing smiles, and, most importantly, embracing the spirit of giving. This annual fundraising initiative plays a crucial role in advancing Primavera India’s (a CSR arm of Bosch India) mission to uplift underprivileged children by providing essential support in education, healthcare, skill development, and nutrition. The evening commenced with a full house, where Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of Bosch Group in India and Managing Director of Bosch Limited, officiated the event. Associates from across Bosch entities came together to honor our freedom fighters, celebrate India's cultural heritage, and embody the spirit of unity, reinforcing this year’s theme, “One Nation.” Over 300 volunteers and performers, and key beneficiaries participated, making the event truly memorable. A recounting of the high moments from the big day would remain incomplete without mentioning the captivating performances by talented groups from Prasanna Jyothi and Aashraya Trust, who lit up the stage with their entertaining acts. This event serves as a powerful reminder of the impact that can be scaled when a common cause connects people across boundaries, from different walks of life. This year too, with the help of our associates, Primavera India raised funds to support over 5,000 children – opening doors to better standards of living and the promise of improved opportunities for each of them. Here is a glimpse of the heartwarming moments that left everyone inspired to be their best selves, renewed with a strive to do more.    Primavera e.V.
