Daan Utsav activities at CSA continue. Children from our partner CCIs in Thane and Ratlam participated in a meaningful cleanliness initiative. They worked along with CWC members and CCI staff to clean their surroundings and the entire premise. This activity fostered teamwork, instilled values of cleanliness and care for the environment as well as valuable lessons about responsibility, and the importance of contributing to the community.

This #DaanUtsav, we continue to celebrate the joy of giving by organising different activities with our children in our partner child care institutions (CCIs) and with Aftercare Alumni by creating moments of joy and fulfilment. As part of activities until now, - A company based in Pune donated 500 diyas to two CCIs having 104 children . As a token of gratitude, the children painted the diyas and gave them back to the company. The company will be selling the diyas to their employees and will share the proceeds with the children. - A lady who grew up in a CCI in Pune, and is now working as a peon in a college and runs a small business at home, conducted a workshop for 30 girls in a CCI and taught them to make “Utana”, a traditional herbal powder. - Eighteen Aftercare Alumni in Mumbai celebrated the joy of giving by spending time with residents of SBN Foundation's Senior Citizen Home in Kurla. They gave them haircuts and applied mehendi. The young adults had made keychains, which they sold and raised Rs 1150 which was donated to the Foundation. - The celebration continued in Ujjain, a company organised a hygiene awareness activity in a CCI with 30 girls. The girls were oriented about good personal hygiene practices, educated on dealing with stigma attached to menstruation and given free sanitary napkins. - Children in Jabalpur’s Observation Home wanted to make something special for their parents as part of Daan Utsav. So we organised a jute making activity, where they prepared colourful jute bags and hand painted them for their family members.

Thank you McDonald's and Westlife Foodworld Limited . Our children loved the experience
We are back with our Community Month 2024 to bring joy and smiles to countless faces! As one of our key initiatives for the month, we partnered with Catalysts For Social Action (CSA), an NGO dedicated to child welfare. CSA helped our crew to bring alive the magic of a McDonald's birthday party for around 30 underprivileged children at our Orion Mall, Panvel store. The kids had a wonderful time celebrating in our specially decorated birthday party area, experiencing the merriment and delight that a McDonald's birthday bash can bring. For many of these children, this may have been their first opportunity to enjoy such a cheerful celebration. As the Westlife Foodworld family, we are committed to making a lasting, positive impact on the communities we serve. This event was just the beginning, throughout this community month, we have dedicated ourselves to enriching the lives of those around us - one smile, one memory, one birthday party at a time. #CommunityMonth #McDonaldsIndia #WestlifeFoodworld #McDonaldsBirthdayParty

We held an art exhibition featuring the creative talents of 50 children residing in 10 child care institutions across Pune. The event was a collaborative effort by the District Legal Services Authority – Pune, the District Women and Child Development Office – Pune, and Catalysts for Social Action. The exhibition showcased a wide array of handmade items created by the children, including paintings, cloth bags, scarves, flower pot paintings, jewellery, pouches, purses, diyas, and Ganapati decorations. The exhibition proved to be a great success, with 10 stalls generating sales exceeding ₹50,000 in a single day. The money went directly to the children’s account. #childrensart #artexhibition #puneevents #creativekids #handmadewithlove #socialimpact #childcareinstitutions #artforsocialchange #supportlocaltalent #handcrafteditems #districtlegalservicesauthority #districtwomenandchilddevelopment #catalystsforsocialaction #empoweringchildren #communitysupport #childrenscreativity #artisanalcrafts #fundraiser #artforgood #handmadeindiancrafts #csa
