🌊 Exciting Developments in Karnataka’s Renewable Energy Sector! 🌞 I had the privilege of attending and presenting a significant meeting organized by KREDL (Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd, Government of Karnataka) and the Water Resources Department (WRD) of Karnataka. The meeting was graced by the presence of the Honorable Minister of Minor Irrigation, Shri. NS Boseraju, and attended by dignitaries from BHEL Ltd and Enzen Global Solutions Pvt Ltd. During the meeting, the Karnataka government unveiled its ambitious plan to harness solar power on irrigation lakes through Floating Solar Technology. This groundbreaking initiative aims to generate 2,500 MW of clean energy, marking a substantial step forward in the state’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development. As a representative of Ciel & Terre India, I had the opportunity to deliver a brief presentation on several key topics: 1️⃣ What is Floating Solar?: An introduction to floating solar technology and its unique benefits. 2️⃣ Technical and Commercial Advantages of Floating Solar Photovoltaic (FSPV) systems over typical ground-mounted and rooftop solar installations. 3️⃣ The Importance of Pre-Feasibility and Detailed Feasibility Reports for the successful development of FSPV projects. 4️⃣ Ciel et Terre’s Portfolio in India: Highlighting our achievements with over 250 MWp of floating solar projects commissioned and an additional 200+ MWp under development. 5️⃣ The potential for Hybrid Renewable Energy Integration with floating solar, hydel power projects, thermal power projects, and green hydrogen-BESS generation. It was an enriching experience to discuss these innovative solutions and explore how floating solar can play a pivotal role in Karnataka’s renewable energy landscape. I am grateful to the organizers and the esteemed attendees for fostering a collaborative environment to push the boundaries of renewable energy in India. Together, we are paving the way for a more sustainable and energy-efficient future!
